A gun like this would normally sit in a private collection and the public would never see it. Glad this channel makes it financially viable for Scott to buy all these rare exotic guns and share them with us.

For those wondering about Muzzle velocity, i've estimated that in oder to produce 200+lb of recoil as Scott stated, with a 20 lb rifle, 1000 grain bullet, and 50bmg powder weight of around 250 grains, you'd need to push the bullet at anywhere between 2300 fps (199.85 lbs) to 2400 fps (211.26 lbs).

Scott, a few years back Ian did a video at Rock Island of a 950jd. It was a pretty MASSIVE gun, and it would be perfect for you if you can find one. As far as other targets for the 700, I think everyone would agree that a zombie needs to feel it's wrath. Also, it would be neat to see your wooden maul used on a fresh zombie torso. Just to see what that thing can do to an uncompromised chest and head. You truly are a modern barbarian. 80's Arnold would be proud. ^_^

As neat as these larger calibers are, if there’s one thing I’ve learned from this channel, the .416 Rigby is the pinnacle. Anything larger produces results of diminishing returns.
@DanielWolfe-t7j
@DanielWolfe-t7j Жыл бұрын
I would be interested in seeing Scott hit a target with some kind of force sensor. The Rigby does seem to be the sweet spot for a big punch AND penetration. The bigger calibers aren't necessarily meant to penetrate as much, but likely transfer much more energy into the target.

Both for just seeing how impressive they are in much greater detail.. and the more obvious seeing what they do to a ballistic dummy in super slow motion. *Edit: You could also do something like have Gav or Dan stand beside you, line up right, and then both shoot at the same time. You with a big bore, and the other with a more typical caliber of rifle. See how the recoil compares more directly or something? Definitely need some comparisons with the four bore! See the difference between lower speed higher mass, and higher speed lower mass for wound channels, penetrating power, etc. since they both produce similar levels of recoil.

I'm glad that Scott's "special relationship with 50 BMG" didn't get so bad that he couldn't share more videos like this with us, because I enjoy the humor and sheer magnitude of force behind these massive calibers and the firearms built to shoot them.

WELL all in all I thought SCOTT from Kentucky Bulistics wouldn't want A relationship with the 50 BMG after what it did to him, BY blowing up in his face, BROKE his face and nose👃 MAKING A hole 🕳 in his throat, BROKE his shooting hand ✋, ALSO by SCOTT plugging up the hole in neck with his thumb 👍🏻 and t-shirt 👕 that stopped SCOTT from Kentucky Bulistics from bleeding to death, THE worst 😫 part is when they did that full surgery from your neck all the way down past your chest cavity. SOON as Kentucky Bulistics gets back on the air again (road again) the friend's that are with you won't let you touch her (the 50 BMG.) SO SCOTT here's the question how can you still have A relationship with A gun that almost ended your life and Kentucky Bulistics show?? ALSO SCOTT you have video's where The 50 BMG Exploaded again and if it did it not only once but 2 times wouldn't you call that RIFLE Being Unsafe to be around Y or N ??

@@justinl.shults7217Two of the 3 times it exploded was intentional. He was purposely stressing it and using it incorrectly to make it explode. When he had his accident, he was using ammo that was tampered with, it wasn't something that would ever happen with proper ammunition. It's a perfectly safe weapon as long as you're using it like it's meant to be used.

About 25 years ago a friend of my dads build a 50 BMG bolt gun similar to a Mauser 98. He did not put a muzzle break on it and built it too light in weight. When he fired it the first time it was from the prone and it shattered his clavicle and put him out of commission for a while.

They'd cost as much as a spent 50bmg cartridge and a 700 nitro slug, this is the kind of rifle you'd have to make custom reloads and honestly wouldn't be that expensive once you've got the necking mandril set. It's based off a standard brass that is very easy to come by and the 700 nitro bullets are around a hundred bucks for 25, so it'd be considerably cheaper than a regular 700 nitro round if you are prepared to hand load (and with only two examples in existence you wouldn't have much choice)

11:54 The cinder blocks laid out in a row acted like a Newton’s cradle. When the bullets kinetic energy was transferred to the first 2 cinder blocks, preventing it from directly destroying the third, the cinder blocks conducted that linear momentum into the fourth. It had nothing into which to transfer the energy, so it shattered. This could be considered analogous to the balls at the ends of the Newton’s cradle being sent flying. Also, Kentucky rube shoots big gun at thing!!! YEAH!!!!!
