The false outrage driven by media and fans is one of jealousy and blind acceptance of nonsensical rules. Nothing more. These guys are shoulder to shoulder in the sheds...run full contact drills all week, then play against a bunch of other people not from within their own team bubble once a week.....but aren't allowed to be in the same place after the game? No - I'm saying they already have special rules that only apply to them.....but then have to act as if they don't after the full time whistle blows. That would’ve been worse and could have happened. NSW is currently on lockdown. Gatherings are forbidden. These knuckleheads did it anyway. They broke the law. Secondly, they have their own NRL protocols. Rugby league has been given permission to keep operating during lockdown. Sports, entertainment, gyms have been closed. The NRL is working with many different state governments so they can keep NRL happening. Part of that is assurances from the NRL to the government that players will abide strict protocols, which will also allow them to fly in and out of state borders for games without hassle. They breached that. They put the comp and its financial survival at risk.

Disrespectful to their neighbours and everyone else that has to lockdown btw. 2) Covid risk Interactions before, during, and after party puts them at risk. If the neighbours didn’t call the police, the players may have had others, girls, friends over. So what does an NRL player have to do in order to be sacked? Homicide? These 'professionals' of the game get away with absolutely everything and anything and all they get is a cheap fine and a slap on the wrist. It's partially the NRLs fault because for so many many years players get caught doing wrong things and never get dealt with harshly. If you were caught in a sex scandal, sexual harassment scandal, doing or selling drugs or cheating within the game in any other sport you would most likely never be allowed to play the game again or at least be banned for a year or more. NRL is an absolute fkn laughing stock of a sport and it's getting less and less popular by the year.

So much inconsistency in every aspect of this game it is ruining the game. I am a die hard dogs supporter and I’ve stuck by them and will continue to watch every game and support my team week after week but the way the game is managed and the biased views on numerous clubs is making me not hate watching my team but the nrl in general.

You’re the only one being bias here tho not the nrl. The dragons are going to lose basically the same amount of players the bulldogs did each week for 3 weeks. If the bulldogs were given permission to stagger its players suspensions out then the dragons would of been given 7-8 weeks instead of 3 to do the same

@@Ryan-ys3yd my biased comment did not relate to this issue but a majority of others that underlie in issues with game and club management through many scenarios. In regards to their suspension being staggered and to ours not being I stand by the fact that if they have made the mistake then the players get stood down. We had numerous other issues and implications that meant we couldn’t field 10 players last week out of a starting line up we would have liked to. If they are going to go against game protocol then they don’t play and there club suffers. I support the fact that all our players who broke covid protocol were stood down and made example of. But my issue is just cause more of the dragons players had done the same shouldn’t grant them leniency it should mean that they struggle more and field a team of more reserve grade players for the suspended game.

@@chrismaher2675 Your team got smashed cause they are garbage 12 of the 17 players that took the field for the bulldogs on the weekend would either be selected in the 17 or part of 21 named every single week. They literally only had 5 fit players who would make the 21 squad unable due to being stood down that’s still basically a 3rd less then the dragons. So like i said the dragons will still lose basically the same amount of players each week for 3 weeks as the bulldogs lost in a week

The dragons are actually losing more players each week for 3 weeks that would make the clubs best 17 out of the fit players available. Then the bulldogs lost last week if they were able to pick their best 17 from who’s fit and available in their squad. So you’re a whinging and moaning about it being fair even tho the dragons are in still in a worse position over 3 weeks with the staggering of the suspensions then the bulldogs were last week

So I’m saying that, the bulldogs might not be playing well at all but you know what…. We still beat the dragons and quite easily so at the end of the day, dragons suck, they’re idiots for throwing a party, they are even more idiotic for lying to the police and hiding and they deserve every bit of punishment and I hope they get absolutely flogged by manly much like we did. Dragons supporters tears are something all nrl supporters love to see.
