Thanks for doing this video to make up for the Camaro video. That ugly Camaro kit did a disservice to this radio, especially how you lost access to the physical HVAC buttons on the top. The PAC kit you previously had would have retained the HVAC controls and frankly looks a LOT better. This video shows much better how this radio would look in an appropriate kit.

1:24 at this time he talks about the two clips that go in the top what you need to do is take the ones off their little plastic clips that are in your factory radio take them Clips off and put them on the new faceplate or the faceplate will constantly try to fall out from the top. Don't forget about that.

I got it installed in my ram and it looks pretty good. I replaced my 997xr with the 1057 so just kept all the same connections that were already there. The first time i started to drive i got a warning message telling me the speed sense wire was disconnected and im no longer able to use reverse camera while driving. All the wires appear to be connected the same and it would work with the 997. Any ideas on what might have happened? Great show btw. My wife doesnt understand why i always watch car installation videos but hey......some people just dont understand.

How can you bypass the parking brake on these units? Do you need the module or can you just ground it?

Did you figure it out or not ? I installed my screen and have put the hdmi cable as well but it says parking off on the screen so what should I really do now? Just ground the parking switch to the radio chassis or there is some other method I need to use!???

Somebody help me out here. I have this exact unit in my 2019 Tundra, but the weather widget doesn't ever display any weather - it only says "No Data." More importantly, when I make/receive calls through CarPlay, the other person can hear me, but I can't hear them at all. I don't even hear it ring. If I call via simple bluetooth then it works perfectly. Everything else on CarPlay works perfectly, too. That is the single feature which doesn't work. I'm using the adapter from Crutchfield to use the stock GPS that was already in my Tundra, along with the Maestro RR. Any suggestions?

I’ll tell you one thing, these screens are so annoying driving at night. No matter how low you dim them, they are still bright and in your face. I turn my screen off if I’m not using it. Nice, yes; hurts your eyes, yes. Be warned before you impulse buy any touch screen.
