Hey I have this same radio and I can hear everyone but it won’t let me talk it’s brand new I’ve tried other mics any idea what setting is wrong ?

Are you trying simplex contacts or trying to go through a repeater?

Very clear, but my radio does smtg different. When I attempt to enter the freq with that method I can only get halfway through the key input and then the entered freq changes. Eg, I want 442.500 but once I get to the “2” the screen changes to 173.000...? Any ideas? Thanks!

This is a VHF only radio....you can't enter 440 frequencies into it.

hola Fernando soy Richards desde Venezuela quiero conseguir los parámetros correctos del Kenwood tm271a?a mi radio un amigo lo destapo entro en el menú oculto movió todo y ahora no recibe ni transmit se queda pegado como el squel, te cuento él lo destapo con un destornillador puenteo algo y entro a dicho menu Gracias de ante mano

You might want to Try a factory reset and see what happens.
