Yeah -- that's a very clean one indeed. Got one of these TS-430S 's as a hand-me-down from a deceased ham relative. Its very clean & the HF hams at a local club tested it for me - no issues. I'm in the middle of putting up an 80-10 EFHW antenna - will be my first time on HF since upgrading from tech license received in the 1970's. Looking forward to using it.

I've had my 430 for 20 years now, don't think I'll part with it even though I use a yaesu 1000mp as my main radio now, I put mine on an extension speaker the other day and was amazed how how much richer and more bass came from the 430 a lovely radio from the days when they made them well

I had this rig, could be modded to xmit from 1Mhz to 30Mhz amazing rig! Wish I kept it!

I own two of these. Ahhhh! I did the Mod for full digit readout. Quite easy.
