Still waiting for JVC/Kenwood to catch up and start making modular radios like Pioneer has been so that they can take advantage of the new dash kits that Metra has been coming up with. Also surprised to see that Kenwood moved the NAV wires back onto the main plug, that's very nice.

Only bad thing is the slow start up. Tried alpine..4 radios in a year. Went back to Kenwood. This radio does everything with no issues. Front mic works well but you have to turn the volume up for people to hear you clearly

Straight off the bat it's not my type of stereo because there isn't a cd or DVD player in it that's what I prefer but I guess that's personal preference I've always liked the ones with cd and dvd player in them because I have music DVDs like pink Floyd green day and so on

I "was" the same way. I always wanted a cd or DVD player. But I finally realized that it's been well over a year or two since I've actually listened to a physical disc. I stream pretty much ALL of my music now. So on my next head unit purchase, I guess a CD player isn't going to be mandatory for me anymore. And as far as the DVD player, I have DVD players and screens in the headrests. And those almost never get used either, unless we go on a long road trip or something.

Hi I got a cab-9000es with a rp5 gm11 and it’s going in a 2006 Yukon with Bose. I had Crutchfield put the harness together and I can’t figure out what wires I tap into for the reverse camera can you help me?

If I have the old model of this unit is it worth getting this when I add the subs? Like you said the old model uses a y adapter instead of two rca for sub

Subs are not in stereo so not sure you need 2 outputs unless you are balancing between 2 amps.

Have you just tried grounding the E brake/parking brake wire to the unit itself? That’s how all my Alpines and Kenwood a/v units have continued to play video while the car in motion.

Kenwood being 5 years late to the best way to do things since the beginning of time. also who at Kenwood decided different wire colors then the standard ones is best for battery and accessory turn on was a good idea?

I believe you missed something. Their wire colors are standard 12 volt radio colors and function.
