Class A CDL holder here. OTR. 🚛 We don’t shift over train tracks or in an intersection. Not sure if your game program penalizes you for doing that. Now commercial hazmat and passenger vehicles must stop before crossing train 🚊 tracks. That pickup truck hit you because you left your lane and went into his. You need to watch your trailer and keep your truck in your lane.

Love that truck....K100 was the first and only truck I ever rode in AND drove / long story.....was my best friends uncle.....let us drive it on the highway when we were 17.....I know.....he was an old hippie truck driver pot head.....5 years later I was a paramedic and ended up working a cardiac arrest on him and couldn’t get him back.....he died doing what he loved...smoking weed.....I hid his weed before PD got there so nobody would think less of him....RIP BeBob.......

The short cab truck like the K100 is ment for city loads since its uncomfortable on the bumps so its mostly used for city loads and the long nose truck like a peterbilt 389 is better for highway loads. Also the short nise cab trucks turn better unlike the long nose trucks. My dad is a truck mechanic so he told me about this stuff
@matthewgaines105 жыл бұрын
Cabovers were used for all kinds of duties. Long haul and local. Now, they are non-existent in the USA.

Also filmed in Astoria, OR: Kindergarten Cop, Free Willy, series finale of Dexter. You literally drove through my hometown of Longview. Came over the Lewis and Clark Bridge from Rainier, Oregon, came down Oregon Way to Tennant Way, hung the right on Tennant to I-5 at the Longview Wye (BNSF has a medium sized yard there), and went through the towns of Kelso and Castle Rock, and crossed the mouth of the Toutle (toot-el) River where it meets the Cowlitz River on I-5. The Toutle is small and cloudy thanks to the 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens choking it.

I loved this video. I live right next to Kennewick so seeing the signs for it made me want to get this game. I can tell the developers spent a lot of time researching the routes for these games. Spokane, Naches and Yakima were pretty well represented so I am hoping there are routes down 395 (I saw the GPS had 395 South available and that means Pasco/Kennewick.) Definitely captured the beauty of the arid Eastern Washington landscape.

I haven't watched any of these truck simulator videos, because I didn't "get" the allure of watching someone pretend to drive a truck across the country. Now that I've decided to check this one out, I may be hooked. It is SO relaxing, I sense the roads and towns and scenery is accurately portrayed, giving me glimpses into places I have never been before. And Jeff is so calm, his voice soothing, unlike some of the GTA RP games that become laced with profanity and cursing from the stress of dealing with other people ... all that seems absent, and mine ears be happy. I may have many days with plans to watch the ALL the previous video.

@Jeff Favignano about the movie Twister... Something I’ve noticed about Twister over the years is the “villain” in the movie twister didn’t really do anything wrong. Instead of living like a crew of homeless people he got sponsors to help support tornado research. It’s something Bill Paxton’s character should have done long ago.

Are the other trucks passing by, other game users in real time, from around the world? And if so, is there access to speak to them by CB as you pass for a mile or 2? Then fade out after a virtual couple of miles. If they're not online (in reality) they would not be in your game. Now to me that would be a cool app and or inclusion to a game. I used to drive an almost identical "big banger" as this one, only with a 400 Cummins under the cab. Uncle Pete.

I've been very happy with my T300 base, TM28 leather wheel rim, T3PA-Pro pedals, and TH8A Shifter from Thrustmaster and I don't get paid by them. They're good wheels if you've got the cash to drop on a full setup. And if you want a good Eaton Fuller Shift knob for it, get a Tech Affliction Mega Shifter. They're made right here in the USA in the southeast. The owner is very responsive to any questions you may have. He may charge more than the cheapo units you can find on eBay or Amazon, but you get what you pay for and his are quality. In my opinion the Mega Shifter is better built than the original CSIO SKRS which I backed on kickstarter before they just started taking people's money and delivering no product
