Still don’t know how u harvest all day and then still pump out the vids almost everyday!? 😲 I was helping with harvest last fall but not this year, kinda miss it although not the 16h days haha We were using the haulmaster which was a slick unit! I grew up in southern Manitoba and did not know that is where they were made! haha

That clip of the semi spinning out is a good example for people who say "why do you even need grain carts, just run the semis to the combine!" Semis do very, very poorly when it starts getting schloppy wet. In places like where the Welkers farm it's possible because they practically live in a desert. Places where it rains? Not so much.

It's great that equipment manufacturers like John Deere are putting such effort into making their control stations more ergonomic. Unfortunately they ignore the 10% or so of the population that is left handed. So often these newer designs are actually less ergonomic for lefties than more traditional controls. Granted, left handed people are used to living in a right handed world, and for the most part we adapt to using right handed items like power tools. But it isn't always efficient or even safe (I don't know how many times I have accidentally locked my electric drill on at full speed because the the horrible position of the trigger lock when I use it left handed.) It would be great if John Deere (and others) would design their control stations with a simple series of quick disconnect plugs, so that aftermarket manufacturers could market easy-to-install left handed joysticks and controls.

Someone asked why do you use a grain cart instead of just unloading the combine into the truck? Would this truck being stuck not be at least part of the reason? Trucks are not meant to be run into wet field.

I live in Manitoba where they build them along with Mac Don headers and swathers and Versatile tractors. LOTS of huge grain farming in Western Canada so Elmer's definitely has a market. They just released a monster 2300 bushel version of that cart. I really enjoyed you showing how it floats over the field and how there is very little compaction. Had a Bobcat crush my lawn and it is no fun trying to fix that later so I know all about compaction.
