How fantastic!! You got to truly see just how fast they run. Always looks so effortless. I’d be interested know how it feels to run at altitude and how much of an impact it’s had on you now you’re back in the UK. I know you’ve had covid so maybe you weren’t able to see the positive results immediately.
@TheWelshRunner2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Altitude is such a strange feeling but I loved it. Everything felt harder. It’s hard to put a number on it because the routes were so hilly too. I chose 400m reps for the track because I knew I would fare better than longer reps. I think training at altitude can have a huge impact but you have to stay for longer than a week. I think I will have had a small benefit but it’s hard to know especially as you say I then got Covid. I loved altitude for the fact I could run slower for a good aerobic benefit.

Hi Tim, I hope you don't mind us jumping in on this one. We organise the Kenya Experience camp which Matt was part of. Yes, it is exactly as you say, it's a training camp/holiday for runners of all levels and we arrange all the running, seminars & other non-running training (gym, drills etc) plus other activities like meeting with local athletes etc. The link to our website is in Matt's description of this video. Please feel to reach out to us if you would like any further information.
