Letting a person wait this long is just wrong, guys. And Keo Sir, you are a legend, you called it, and not just the scoreline; you predicted how the game played out. You said it was going to be scruffy, and we wouldn't be dominating the Aussies as we did the week before, and that's exactly how it played out. You said the bench would come to make a massive impact, and well, again, you were right. Lastly, you said we would score 30 points, and well, we did.... now here is the big question: Which numbers should I play in the lotto?

Personally the biggest surprise outcome from the Australian tour was that P.S. Du Toit looks very comfortable at lock. Against the All Blacks at Ellis Park perhaps the selectors might look at repeating this experiment which in turn leaves a spot for B.J. Dixon.

Love this podcast. With NZ tour, can they win a game in SA. Yes, they have enough talent. But think they will need to finish the 1st half with a lead, as they will be hard pressed in the second half. As mentioned in the chat, they lack X factor in the replacement forwards for the minute. Think from the Aus tour coaches got some good data. Sacha got experience, new front row tested, new lock tested, PSDT confirmed as a very good lock option, BDA a viable option at no.7, Louw a solid performer, Am got game time, Fassi looked to be growing into the 15 role. For the NZ matches I'd strongly consider using PSDT at no.5, BJD at no.7, have both Kwagga and Louw in the bench for coverage.

If there’s one area I back the ABs right now it’s the front rows, especially starters. Boks locks stronger as a pair, loosies might have the edge too, but not by much. 9’s even and is Boks area of least depth, 10’s depends who’s playing but I’d say even, 12 / 13 edge to the Boks, Wings even but depends on type of game you want to play, 15 ABs because Barrett. Bench, even if ABs go 6-2 split which they should, to the Boks. My prediction is Boks 2-0 but tight games. As a Kiwi I’d consider 2 close losses where the ABs really pushed the Boks at home as acceptable. This is an excellent Bok side. A win by the ABs would be fantastic. Two wins would be unbelievable. I just want to see good contests and no red cards. It’s all about building now and happy to accept short term pain to achieve longer term gain. Some great young talent waiting to be exposed to top tier nations like SA. Maybe next year.

Dear Keo and Zels: great program! - A comment on Argentina All Blacks: if you watch the second test there was no domination and nothing like that. The Pumas players made six individuales mistakes on attack without pressure, just misplays. The game was 14-3 (the two tries coming from two individual avoidable mistakes) and Argentina had a penalty near the post and decided to go to the line. So the game could have been 14-6. Then another mistake at the 5 offensive yards, and in the next 14 minutes there were three mistakes and mistackles and the ABs made three more tries. But from the 35´ minute on to the end of the game the result was 7 - 7. - There were very different incentives entering into the game also: ABs needed to revert the image and the Pumas had the job done.

I really don't know what these okes are watching. Keohane is on my way of thinking with Ellispark. But why are nobody talking about Ardie.These okes are underestimating Savea(I think even the All Black pundits are as well.He is in the same category as duPont. The type of player that makes the whole team.His physicality is really being underestimated.Our best chance is if he has a quiet game. But that is easier said than done. He is the only player that can lift them to match our physical play and the only player that can lift them to those standards. We are adept enough to counter whatever skilful play their backs come up with but if they graft with him at the front we have problems because that means they have front foot ball,allowing innovation at the back at the same time causing us to lose a pace or 2 in our attack. The game we want to play currently relies on that extra yard gained by grafting in the tight loose releasing whoever we have at 10 Otherwise we give them an opportunity which is the only thing stopping us from dominating. Lastly consider kwagga starting at 8 exactly for the argument I am making previously. We tend to give to little emphasis on the tight loose which is the actual place where we have been dominant
@Andy-bf8os4 ай бұрын
I really like Savea, one of my favorite players, but he can't win the game by himself. Kwagga is a lot more effective off the bench, I wouldn't start him, bring him on for the last 30 min. What would your team look like for the Boks in the Ellis Park Test?
@mitakon214 ай бұрын
No such thing as a "tight loose"!? There's the 'tight five' and 'loose trio' or 'loose forwards' and 'loose scrum', which is not really a term used anymore. Clarify what ure trying to say..
@LlanwillVanAswegen4 ай бұрын
@Andy-bf8os ox Bonnie Frans Eben RG PSDT(PTSD) Kwagga Grant Sascha Damian Jesse KLA Cheslin Fassi Koch Thomas Marx Elrich Ruan BJD Pollard Reenact Everybody has kwagga on the bench because that is where he has always been played but in my humble opinion he is precisely the same player as Savea. In contact there is no one better .One on one he is unstoppable and what we overlook is his pure pace.We are selling him short.The game against Ireland when he started was an anomaly I contend exactly because he knows that he is viewed as an impact player and he tried to prove too much i venture that he is still the same player as the 2015 lions kwagga that was the best player in the world. Let's be honest his size used to disadvantage him a lot In his heyday, or before Rassie.Finally with a bot more belive and exposure Grant might just he the next big thing in world rugby,but same as kwagga you need to expose these world beater youngsters from word go.Tgrow them in the deep side see if they swim Ala pollard Sascha Joost and many more others.Only slight criticism of Rassie is that I feel that ge is not experimental enough with the current crop of youngsters. Why did we have to wait so long till we started believing in Cheslin.Kurt Lee broke the door down .all I know is I belive we can be the next empire but a lot of boldness needs to be shown with our youth
@wot49224 ай бұрын
We're very wary of Ardie who is an excellent player but we'll leave it to NZ to hype him up.
@theriddler56014 ай бұрын
It will depend on the type of way we are going to want to play. If we want to go with our best defence then it will be able to counter even the best the All Blacks have to offer. Doing so would mean we’d have to pick our best defensive players in an extremely specifically selected squad. The problem with it though is that we would be sacrificing very important Test Experience and would be holding our young guns back when they are clearly our future.
