Ingredients
Anchovy fish - 1kg
Shallots - 16 to 17nos
Tomatoes - 2 nos
Ginger - 1 nos
Garlic - 7 or 8 nos
Green chilli - 3 to 4 nos
Curry leaves - 2 or 3 tbsp
Tamarind - small ball
Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
Cumin seed - 1 tsp
Fenugreek seed - 1 tsp
Salt - 1 or 2 tsp
oil - 2 to 3 tbsp
Method
Firstly we have to cut and clean the fish .
Then wash and drain ,set aside
Heat oil in a pan add shallots ,ginger, garlic and fennel seed ,saute them well.
Add chopped tomatoes and saute till they become soften.
Then add red chilli powder and turmeric powder
Saute them well for few minutes.
Remove from fire and set aside.
Then grind the sauted shallots and red chilli powder mix into a smooth paste and set aside..
Heat oil in a pan ,add fenugreek seed
Add green chilli and curry leaves,saute them well.
Then add the grinded mixture of shallots and red chilli powder and saute them well.
Pour some water and mix them well.
Add soaked tamarind water and mix them well.
Sprinkle some salt on them and stir them well.
Cover and boil for 4 to 5 minutes.
Add cleaned anchovies fish and mix it well.
Cover and cook them well.
Remove from fire and keep aside.
Serve the tasty anchovy fish curry with tapioca or meals
