The point is, solid fuel is already stored in the booster itself, and can't be stored into the tanks. You can now understand why It is so funny to watch him building this horrible crafts

if you ever play again: hold shift to turn throttle up to the maximum Staging is in the bottom right corner when building a rocket. You can control when parachutes deploy, and when engines egnite. If you're having a trajectory to space, and want to go to orbit, then click on the apoapsis, and create a manoeuver node. After this you can hold the prograde button ( the yellow circle) until you reach an orbit.

Just a note for KSP. If you press ctrl alt f12 when you are about to launch and click on cheats u can have infinite fuel and invincibility and on the bottom you can set the orbit on any planet.
