Kerli speaks out on her Lady Gaga Comparison

What a respectable and genuine response. I really respect Kerli for all aspects of her career. She didn't feel the need to bring lady gaga down to lift herself up because Kerli is wiser and kinder than that.

Kerli is a beautiful, talented individual who is young, hip and exciting. Her singing is to be envied by many and so should her morals on life, for it is evident she is a good-hearted person. Lady GaGa is the same way, representing that you should never be afraid to be yourself no matter how eccentric. Both of them are great people with good lessons in their music, whether it be pop or alternative, so I really don't understand why fans have to rival so brutally against each other.

Yeah but lady gaga started recording in 2006 under the name of Stefani Germanotta. Kerli recorded her first song in 2002.

omg. i remember like WAY BACK WHEN.. when "myspace was still cool" i had found her and she was just starting out. and i remeber falling in LOVE with Bulletproof. i got a comment back once and now to see here a few years later she did a song with my fav band TH and shes getting really big im REALLY happy. i can say HAHA told you so to all my friends that were "eh" with her music :D

She spoke well. And she's right, the music is completely different, and that's what matters at the end of the day. Other than the fact that she is experimental with her fashion and sense of style, and happens to have blonde hair, people are so quick to draw unfair and unwarrented comparisons. I hope too that one day she establishes herself enough within the industry to not warrent such shallow comparisons.

It's funny how Kerli fans do not think think from her viewpoint, or even bother to see through her eyes. Kerli doesn't want conflict, she knows neither came first and has a higher understanding of these things as people like me do. She even said here she wishes there will come a time where they are both considered creative people. She obviously has respect for Gaga & I'm quite sure Gaga respects her. About doing different styles in music - it used to be like that but with 'army of love' kerli turned towards mainstream music and now she reminds me of lady gaga not only because of her looks but because of her music as well. Gaga is pop. Kerli is alternative. Their music styles are vastly different, which means that the whole "war" is about a fashion style. Um...people can sometimes have the same fashion sense. If you really want to get mad, get mad at the people who are knocking you down for having an alternative sense of style. @jacd2k9 how do you know if they inspired her? Have you seen the costume, hair style and clothing comparisons? Some are almost exactly the same. And it is kind of suspicious that she met both Kerli and Roisin. And I do blame the stylists. I don't think it is right of them, but just because she isn't completely responsible doesn't mean she isn't at all responsible. So far all I have seen her give credit to is Grace Jones. In a sense, the Fame is the mask, and it's follow-up is a look behind the mask at the monster beneath. A highly innovative and unique concept for an album. Kerli might be an all right musician, but Lady Gaga is an artist.
