They didn´t... Verona had max televote points during all Eesti laul shows because Estonian people really love artist whom they know and love... Kerli was cool but that was it... just cool... there was no connection with estonian people because she just suddenly appeared out of nowhere and said that she wants to represent HER country... Maybe if she tries again next year she will succeed but again, there is no sign of her after Eesti Laul... she just comes and goes thus it's hard for the older generation to connect with her message and music because we take really seriously the message that the artists carry

Writing from the Philippines here. I have been a fan of Kerli for like a decade already. I often thought "what if" she joins Eurovision for Estonia. I did not know she actually tried this year. Just found out about it tonight, five months after ESC in Kiev. I do like "Verona," but if this was selected as the Estonian entry, I wouldn't have minded at all. I wish this song would have won. I don't think the winner was bad, it's a great song by any means. I just want to watch the ending competitions that have singers doing their own thing instead of putting a song out there that sounds like so many other I've heard before, extreme beauty that I've already seen before in many actresses and singers. I like this song so much, but when I see the Estonian results in Eurovision over the past years, I'm not so sure that Kerli would have slayed with this song. I mean, Estonia needs really great songs if they want to do well in the Contest. Also, I think that Diamond Hard, Feral Hearts or Blossom had something more powerful, more mystical maybe. I remember that when people listened to Spirit Animal for the first time, I wasn't so magical. Then, the song grows on you and you like it, especially with a performance full of energy like this! I said it before and I'll say it again. Yes I too am sad that Verona did not get Estonia into the final but I am 100% certain that if Estonia had of gone for Kerli, she would of gotten Estonia into the final because this performance here had more winner potential and I still can't believe that Estonia still went for Verona but oh well it happened, Eurovision is over now for another year.
