It's weird how Poulter has become a serious actor without making a huge fuss about it, so many young actors make it out to be a big deal when they transition to serious work but Poulter just went about it by being a good actor. Also he re-tweeted a review I wrote on Detroit so he's pretty great in my books (I already thought he was great beforehand of course)

Can't believe it's taken me this long to find this video. Will Poulter is and has been my favourite actor for many years now. He steals the show every time. The variety in his performances is outstanding. He does it like no other. I don't think I can choose a favourite

I loved Poulter in Detroit. He really surprised me at just how scary and genuinely intimidating he was, despite his relatively young age as an actor. And I really liked Detroit as well, although I couldn't help but think of the Troubles that occurred in Northern Ireland when I watched it.

Completely agree that Will Poulter was underused in Maze Runner. He is equally so in the Netflix Film 'War Machine', and he is still amazing. Question - is there a better young British actor working today? I certainly can't think of any British actor who is as good at accents as he is.

Always been a fan of Will, first seeing him as part of the amazing cast of child actors in Channel 4's School of Comedy. Even then, he stood out and it's funny to see him go from being this little boy to this 6'2 adult who is rightly being cast in some great films. He's starting to look a bit like Damian Lewis (another fine British actor) and I hope we see a lot more of him.

Having been hugely impressed by Poulter since he was in School Of Comedy (stealing every sketch he was in) I couldn't be happier that he's breaking into big box office roles. There are few actors that will make me want to see a film purely because they are in it, and almost none as young as he is, but I can't wait to enjoy the long career he has ahead of him.

Favourite Will Poulter movie has to be Son of Rambow. When I first saw it I was knocked out by someone that young being that good. Also - and this may seem like a strange one - I was impressed by what he did in Plastic, a British heist movie that was a truly loathsome pile of junk. Someone as talented as Poulter must have realised pretty early on that this was going to turn out badly but he still delivered nuanced, committed work. Every aspect of that movie stank with the single exception of his performance. Even when he's stranded in a terrible film he's still professional and watchable.

It's all subjective of course but that's absolute nonsense,Hardy had a good enough performance and i'm a fan but it wasn't amongst his best performances in film..As for Hardy's character being complex he was a self explanatory villain of the movie,a halfwit could figure that out after the opening scene,nothing remotely complex about his character whatsoever.
@Carlos-ln8fd7 жыл бұрын
UpSet DaSetup I guess but he was also a very strong presence throughout the film. Hardy's performance was filled with subtleties like his speaking voice or maneurisms that made the character very interesting to me.
