Sorry for the confusion everyone, but TMS changed the instructions after I installed the kit. That's why they show different pins being used. I recommend using their latest instructions for the best results, but I haven't had any issues installing it with the old method. Link to the latest instructions is in the video description. If you already had ecutek that connects to the flex fuel sensor. Do you replace that with the TMS plug and remove the one for ecutek? It only allows one

@kern417 how long it take you to install the plug n play kit? Is it worth the peace of mind to get plug n play or will some positaps work just fine? Im sure it would take reasonably longer to install without pnp if im looking and counting pins for every wire; versus just four pins removed in the plug n play but will struggle trying to install crank sensor.

Hey kern, planning on getting this so I don’t have to tap but if I have/getting a top mount setup that will no longer have the pcv harness and some other sensors. Could I just leave them unplugged?

Youll still plug into the engine harness but the other end will be loose

I can't get that crank sensor out. I can feel it, I can get the tab to unlock. Cant get the plug to release. Am I supposed to be pressing down on the white locking clip to remove it?

I don't have a lpfp upgrade on this car but on my 440i i used aux2

@kern417 its off topic but please please can you help me I’m an apprentice technician I have just fitted Lsd, hpfp and new injector (cyl 2) I fitted the injector because I kept getting a drive train malfunction randomly when I kick down. I’ve tried to track if it’s because of my type of fuel or if it’s because of compression but it’s none of them .I changed coil and spark plugs first then I gathered it must be my injector however since then I still get the drive train malfunction at random points under load or when I kick down. I’m genuinely confused and don’t know what else to check

@@kern417 I have I’m just getting 120408 - Charging pressure control: Switch-off as consequential reaction. 140001 - Combustion misfires, several cylinders: Fuel injection is switched off. 140010 - Combustion misfires, several cylinders: detected. 140201 - Combustion misfire, cylinder 2: Fuel injection is switched off. 140210 - Combustion misfire, cylinder 2: detected.

smoke test? check for exhaust leaks? how did the cyl 2 spark plug look when you pulled it?

@@kern417 in all honesty the plug of was a little dark but nothing major compared to the others a smoke test will give me a different result to a compression test ?

Precision Race works also have a separate harness you can buy on top of the normal splicing harness. Plug and play for $200 versus paying $650
