underrated??? I almost shit myself. 3 albums in the 90's, two of which were triple platinum, the other went platinum. You couldn't avoid hearing them on the radio and still do hear their music from the 90's today. Underrated, shaking my head. You want an underrated band from the 90's that the majority of you have never heard of...check out a band called Moist

A true love affair with that Jazzmaster! To me, this is one of those rare songs that captures a very elusive emotional state sonically, which is the only way really to trap that elusive beast. Add the haunting lyrics and wrenching vocal delivery, and this is just an exceptional piece of art that does what art does best--conveys truth.

Thank you, kind sir. I can see it’s a love beyond others. It entrenches itself, attached to your heart, kind of like filling in a part of your heart with a like half finished metal mold. You can see the shell half done and it looks fantastic but it will never be completed. Yet we go on. Because of the very nature of it.

Man this kills me. I've been playing guitar for nearly 20yrs. I dabble in everything from classical to blues to metal to country. I go from playing Lamb of God and Pearl Jam to playing Bob Seger and Jack Johnson. I play acoustic and sing every day AND FOR THE LIFE OF ME I CANNOT GET DOWN THE TIMING TO PLAY AND SING ANY BUSH SONG. It eats at me. The riffs aren't hard and neither is the flow of the lyrics, but I can't put them together. I can play and sing Alice in Chains all day or even Metallica or Pearl Jam or many many other bands...but somehow Bush has defeated me time and time again.
@garrettjanssen76833 жыл бұрын
If it makes you feel any better, they'd probably like the imperfections. They played quite loose with rhythm and timing. And Nigel Pulsford's licks are really weird and awkward if you're trying to capture their sound and it's hard to hear him over the mixing even with slow-down apps. I'm a hobbyist and not great, but some of Bush's tracks were the first I learned on guitar. Machinehead is, for me, very accessible!

It's nice to see finally that the sound has always been the middle position with the two pickups together. I remember being a kid, having my first guitar, not knowing exactly why Bush's guitar sound was different from other bands and the typical rock guitar sound. Years later I figured it out, but here we finally have confirmation by looking at the pickup selector switch.
@JustinLesamiz Жыл бұрын
You really think he's done it the same way every time for 30 years? No chance. Also, every pickup sounds different so that combination wouldn't work the same on every guitar.

Man, I must be in the minority. It sounds like crap. It sounds like a Fender rip off, with china pickups, through a china amp. Way way way too overdriven and necky. And I like PUNK music, of all things. The king of OD pickups. Just sounds off.

@@Cheezy_Bunz It sounds too overdriven and muddy. It doesn't have the sweet mellow tone that the neck pickup should at that sort of hollow distortion. It sounds like a crappy pickup or even a decent one through a really cheap home amp. There's no warmth or clarity.
