I’ve seen two Alter Bridge shows and one with Slash, and in the AB shows he typically does a couple of acoustic songs in the middle of the set to give the band a break. When I heard the new album I instantly thought this song would make a good acoustic version, and it’s good to hear one.

Just an excellent song from a fantastic album - which was a concept album related to the residual feelings of loss he has for his father who passed away when he was really young - from a treatable illness (appendicitis?) that he relied on his faith to heal him rather than man’s science. Hence blind faith and was it worth it to never ‘see my face again!?’… Beautiful tribute songs to what his mother went through as well and her strength and enduring love for her children. Beautiful / heartfelt 😢
