You and Kerry represent what friendship is all about. That it has lasted 14 years is a testament to the bond that you have. It's been so much fun watching both of you grow and change and to follow your journeys. It will be so much fun to also watch both of you laugh together and to see that bond. Never lose what both of you have.

Blessed to witness two wonderful men having an honest down to earth conversation. Unpacking these raw often taboo topics was refreshing to say the least. Enjoyed the video format Graham as both yours and Kerry's facial expressions were "gold". Congratulations you have a Winner here!

Totally agree saw and felt that too. They're both a hair away from realizing the Who that Created the Universe. Grab a Bible guys, the easy read format of course, you're going to get ALL these answers you've been discussing....

Yes, I too sense his searching is most possibly for God, yes. I'll be praying for his Salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. His search has been taking him on a 'nature' path, which is to God's Creation. He's a very interesting person.

I also agree. I suffered from depression growing up. I was searching for answers as to why I was here on earth. It was only when I surrendered my life to God that things started to make sense. And instead of despair, there was hope. I love watching you both on Heartland. And I thank you both for being so transparent! Again, not to say that I have any answers to someone who is searching, but I know that God/ Jesus does. ❤

YES! You put words to exactly what I was thinking. His spirit is so sweet and authentic, he wants to do the right things, he is just missing the how (God). Knowing the Lord would give him such purpose and real joy.

Enjoyed the podcast very much! Enjoyed watching the two of you just having a conversation since to me you are Ty and Caleb who I love! Sometime you get a little deep for me but have realized that both of you are searching for something. That something is God! Graham, I believe that you have realized this! You seem more happier than when you started. God will do that! I'm an 87 year old woman who watches Heartland over and over every day (stop at season 13 - I want to be happy!). You are like a family to me! Looking forward to next podcast!

Brother Kerry, I feel for ya man. I really do. I also used to be in a similar headspace and it left me in a hopeless state. In my humble opinion, I feel like too many of us feel the need to separate science/math from God- the Creator when in actuality, they both fit together like a glove. Science and math can’t explain away life itself. Life can’t create itself from a lifeless form. Nor can science/math explain away morality. You can’t create something out of nothing- especially the abundance of life. (Not to mention the precision of the Sun, Moon, gravitational pull, etc) All creations were created……by a Creator. To think that all life on this planet merely created itself out of nothing but chance and long periods of time is naive at best. Before I gave my life to Christ, I was an addict, depressed, anxious, suicidal and completely hopeless inside. I find it quite ironic that during that time, I thought I had the world figured out. I read many books, watched countless documentaries and had a fair amount of deep conversations(so I thought) . Therefore I came to the conclusion that God wasn’t real, we’re randomly just floating in space and there isn’t any real rhyme or reason to our existence. Boy, was I wrong. Then on 1.20.18 I had an incredible encounter with Jesus. (This is coming from someone who thought all religion was an absolute joke and didn’t believe in Any of that) I was Truly transformed and my life hasn’t been the same since. I was literally reborn in the Spirit- just like the Bible states. ( that happened before I ever picked up a Bible. The Bible was just further confirmation that this is all real) 26 years of addiction- completely gone. Depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts- gone. Today, I’m completely sober from all drugs, alcohol, cigs, even doctor meds. At 42, I’m in the best shape of my life- mentally,physically and most importantly, spiritually. There’s no real explanation to what happened to me other then it was a Real supernatural experience(which btw I’ve had 2 more experiences since then). I tried rehabs, meetings, therapy, yoga, meditation, doctor meds and everything else Western medicine had to offer. I could Not get clean sober. After that experience, the spirit of addiction was taken from me and I’ve been sober since. You say you’re seeking truth? What is truth? What is absolute truth? Is it man’s truth? Or, is there a superior truth? God Is absolute truth. He gave us a moral law of code to go by. That moral accountability is key and without that accountability, humanity is doomed. What we are seeing today is man has turned away from God and worships self. We worship the creation rather then the Creator. The further man pulls away from God, the more wicked our hearts become. Man begins to make his own laws and his own rules. This is nothing new my friend. The Bible is full of stories of people turning from God. The same thing happens every time- destruction. Then when that destruction is over, man gravitates back to God. And then it repeats. Conclusion, don’t shut God out my friend. My experiences would not have happened if it wasn’t for a humble heart. It begins with humility. My way wasn’t working-clearly. I finally looked up and said, “Lord, if you’re real, I need you. I have nowhere else to turn. I’ll give my life to you. Please help me”. Boom- that’s when He revealed Himself to me and my life hasn’t been the same since. After that I realized I actually knew very little and most of what I thought I knew wasn’t true. I pray this message finds it’s way to you my friend . God Bless you brother and I pray God protects you on your journey🙏🏿🙏🏿

So true, not religion, but a heart issue, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The one who died and arose from the dead. The living God, our creator! We can't do anything ourselves, it's our surrender.

Glad you are doing better, but I'm actually living a much better live since I am no longer fundamentalist. Christian...That religion never sat well with me. I was depressed, angry etc.........Just remember everyone is on their own path and even thousands of near death experience proves that God doesn't judge you by what religion you follow. He could care less....Think of all of the populations of the earth that were born into different religions. You think God will punish them because they aren't Christian? Of course not, that would be absurd.
@travist.warren5824
@travist.warren5824 Жыл бұрын
@@down-the-rabbit-hole Well, I feel a little bit different about it then what you’re saying. I’m not looking at this from a theological perspective. I’m speaking from a personal experience I had which changed my entire outlook on God and life in general. I had an incredible encounter with Jesus on 1.20.18 that completely changed my life. Before that happened, I didn’t believe in God, I thought religion was stupid and I couldn’t care less about any of it. The irony there was I was completely lost and miserable inside. I was apathetic towards life. I was addicted to drugs, porn, sex and materialism. Always buying new gadgets, trying to fill a void. Things got so bad that I wanted to end my life. That’s when I met Jesus. I Truly had a Saul to Paul experience. Except when I met Jesus, I didn’t know anything about Him. I had never read the Bible. I didn’t know anything. I just knew that Jesus was the Son of God. God is real. And so is Jesus. This I know with all my heart and soul. There are many people from around the world, from all different ethnic backgrounds who have had encounters with Jesus. In fact, there are quite a bit of testimonies that are very similar to mine. If I had encountered Buddha, Krishna , Muhammad, Confucius, etc, that’s what I would be talking about. I had no stake in the game. I didn’t believe in Any of them before I had my encounter. Yet, my encounter was with Jesus. After my first experience, I dove into the Bible and that was just further confirmation that it’s all true. So I disagree with you. Buddha was an incredible teacher and had much wisdom that still holds true today. But he isn’t the Son of God. Not even close. He’s not even in the same sport as Jesus. I could say the same about all the others but I’ll refrain. As far as you feeling depressed and angry when you were a believer, well that could be due to a few different reasons. Your anger and depression could have possibly been Conviction. If you have the Holy Spirit in you and you do things (sin) that goes against the Holy Spirit, you will be convicted. Living in the flesh and the Holy Spirit are like oil and water. They don’t mix. One can get angry and depressed if you are sinning against the Holy Spirit. The other thing it could be is you don’t fully understand God’s love. If you feel punished after every time you sin or if your faith is based on good works, meaning the more “good” you do, the more points you are “earning” your way into heaven, one will often feel angry and depressed when you’re not doing enough or fall short. Falling short is inevitable bc we All fall short at times. Many struggle with this. I most certainly struggled with this and sometimes still do. It’s not about how much we do or how good we think we are. We are all sinners and fall short. It’s about Jesus dying on the cross for us. He paid the ultimate price for me and you. He paid our debt. That’s amazing when you really think about it. The more we read the Word, pray and keep our focus on God, the more we feel God’s Love. The more at peace we are. The less we focus on God, the more drawn to this world we are. The more we live for our own flesh. We can’t ride the fence. Like Jesus said, “you can’t worship God and money( aka materialism, worldly things). You’ll end up hating one and loving the other”. Being a Christian isn’t easy. Then again, living for this world isn’t easy either. It may seem good but that will eventually fade and we are left with the inevitable question , “what now?” “What’s this all about?” Life without faith in God is a death sentence. I pray for you my friend. I pray that you come to know Jesus again and have a relationship with Him, not a religion. God bless you🙏🏾

Dear, Kerry. You think too much. You will be much happier and come to the inner peace you are seeking when you realize you have spent enough time thinking, and spend yourself serving others. Both you and Graham have brought so much joy to others, celebrate that. You have been blessed so that you can be a blessing to others. Yes, you can and should take care of yourself without feeling guilty. You are a child of God made in his own likeness. You are responsible for respecting and taking care of the life you have been given, and, yes, loving Yourself. It is the only way you can truly bless the lives of others.

Wow! Great raw conversation guys! I appreciate that you are both very intelligent and are searching for truth. I write this with humility and don't even know if you read these, but here goes....I'm offering a Christian perspective to truth and finding answers. I'm going through a cancer journey right now in my 40s and have such a peace about me that can only come from the Holy Spirit. It is through Him that i can say i truly love and care for you both and want to share this peace. It is about our beautiful surrender to Him, realizing we are powerless and we can't fix it, BUT He can. When we surrender and realize we are sinners and need Jesus, who did the work on the cross, we are then reborn and the greatest power that exists, comes and lives in us. It is His power that works through us and in us. It makes us want to be Christlike and help others. He promises to finish that work in us (sanctification). He will give you the answers you're looking for, just ask Him. I would just caution you about the energies, etc. Please consider these two amazing and eye opening books..."The Beautiful Side of Evil" by Johanna Michaelsen and "The Light That Was Dark" by Warren Smith. Please know I am writing from a place of love and caring. Praying for you both. Joy is a choice ;) God bless

That's great that it works for you and I wish you the best in your cancer journey, but remember that lots of people don't share your same failth and do just fine..... Humans actually have the power of healing themselves.... and hundreds of thousand of near death experiences prove that God or spirit doesn't care what religion you are. Think about all of the millions of souls who are born into different religions. Do you think God would punish them just because they weren't Christians? Of course not. A loving God would never do that. That would be absurd not to mention incredibly evil.

I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and that doesn't make my life perfect, but having that relationship has brought peace and hope in my life as well as purpose and meaning to each day of my life. I see the love Graham has for those he interviews. I pray his friendship with Kerry is a healing balm. Without a vision people parish. Self compassion is key. Embrace ourselves with love. We don’t need to abandon ourselves. Grahams wisdom and love is what I come here to witness.

I loved it!!!! It was awesome as always!! I would like to donate you some money to help support you! I will look into that!!! Kerry is awesome. I just want you to know that I am a Christian and I want you to know that you can find all the answers concerning life in the Bible. As I was watching you God spoke to my heart and said pray for these guys. And so I did!!! He put you both on my heart and it touched me in a way I have never felt before. So I want you to know that I will be praying for you both!!! I am looking forward to the next podcast!!! Love and hugs to you and Kerry!!! From Carolyn Vann in Arkansas USA 🇺🇸😇😘❤

Just remember Carolyn, not everything shares your faith, such as myself. Everyone is on a different path. Not everyone has faith in the Bible(I don't) I think it's just a collection of stories to be honest.......But regardless, Christianity doesn't vibe well with everyone, so please respect that.

I believe what you are saying Graham is that there is a distinction between thought and consciousness. From years working in this field I stand behind this 100%. Very special to feel your exchange with Kerry. Unlike what Caleb might have expressed.

Great podcast. Coming from a 59 yo that has been poor, then well off, then poor and then Ok, continue to be grateful in all things. We were never promised that life would be easy and sugar plums all the time. Stay focused on happiness and exercise that blessing. If one is lax in being vigilant in exercising their happiness, this world will steal all of ones joy!
