Enjoying your channel. I have had a Culpepper for about a year. Your review is spot on. My only criticism would be that I wished they had made the bolster a bit longer in keeping with barlow aesthetics, but that is only a minor hit on a great knife.

Congratulations for a well deserved accomplishment. I appreciate your videos greatly. I also think you've sold this great-grandpa a new barlow. I'm presently carrying a 5" Bear & Son toothpick and I just love longer blade for cutting bread but I also love barlows and this one looks nice. I wasn't aware of Kershaw doing traditionals so it's worth a try.

It's all about how they apply the law, but according to some pretty smart guys here the cutting edge is what matters. Does that mean a cop won't hassle you anyway? nope. Not at all uncommon for those that enforce laws not to know them, unfortunately.

Congratulations TK, up to 1K for TK! The Culpepper is a lovely knife and i'm eyeing the brandywine to because, well because it's stockman and oh well i'm a sucker for traditionals, but i still look for excuses to buy the same patterns from different brands hahaha. The steel isn't that bad actually, bit more stropping and honing, but it holds up pretty good in my experience. That clippoint looks awesome, and the fit and finish is very well done. Thank you for the review buddy, have a nice week.
@ThriftyKaniffy2 жыл бұрын
I just wish more primarily modern knife producers would put out a traditional line. Imagine if someone who already does slip joints like say Civivi, would do a traditional line. Nice comments Jeroen.
@jeroenvoss62312 жыл бұрын
@@ThriftyKaniffy That would be awesome, well a man can dream ofcourse. Although if a lot of people would ask for it, there sure would be a market for more traditional lines. Brother knives (ofcourse Chinese) make pretty good modern folders with traditional shapes. Better said traditional folders with modern materials. The more the better!

The way the law about blade length in UK is written is very ambiguous, in one part it states 3 inch cutting edge in another part overall length of blade should not be over 3 inches, guess which part the Police use. I liked the look of the knife and thought about buying it and shortening blade to 3 inches but decided not to as it is more expensive here, did an imperial but that only cost me £9:95 when I bought it, wouldn't matter if I messed up although I think it looks okay modified into a Spearpoint. Another good review glad your channel growing.

I have this Kershaw series and they are beautiful knives, well worth having. Beware there is the 2020 amendment to the knife law that says blade length not cutting edge. This does seem to be down to interpretation but beware out there in the UK as some bobbies are keener than other. Great review brother, happy holidays 🎅🏻👍.

A lot of people are ignoring the change in the law or just don’t know about it. I had a letter from the Police explaining the changes as I’d got into a bit of trouble trying to import an assisted opener. The ‘weaponcollector’ who has a great Channel made a video about all the changes as he had to dispose of a few of the things in his collection due to some items now being illegal to own even in private, such as Batons that compress into the handle and Throwing Stars. Ignorance of the Law isn’t a defence in the UK however knife And Sword Collector’s should be OK providing they don’t Flash their Steel around in public 🤪 Happy Holidays 🎅🏻👍.

@@ThriftyKaniffy ugh, the price discrepancy between the US and Canada when it comes to knives is horrendous. Canadian Border Services if they pick up at the border that you're importing a knife will slap a hefty fee on the package...at times this fee is many times the actual cost of the knife. I'm dismayed. I don't mind paying the currency difference between our two currencies(around 25%) but paying for more than the price of the knife, just to cross an invisible border really burns me. I've toyed with the idea of taking a road trip down to SMKW or Chicago Knife Works just to load up on all the pocket knives I want to get, but coming home across the border and explaining why I have dozens of knives when they ask me if I have anything to declare is not going to be fun. Wish there was a work around for this... sorry, rant over. 😒
