Kershaw Natrix Copper(7006CU) First Impressions

Nice review! And cool knife. It’s perfectly sized for those of us who like smaller knives for EDC (2.5”-3”). Personally, I have avoided the other Natrix versions (even though I like the look and design) because they are larger than I want in an EDC knife. Plus, being copper handled, making it much bigger would add considerably to the weight. So if Kershaw was gonna make a smaller sub-3” Natrix (and I’m glad they did) the copper one is the ideal candidate. Anyway, really, really glad to see Kershaw offering more knives without speed-assist. And the D2 is just icing on the cake. Very excited to get mine.

My Natrix was delivered three weeks ago. It’s a nice little knife. The detent on the lock bar was kind of stiff out of the box. I oiled and pried on the ball a tad, then flipped it for a few evenings until it smoothed out. My only complaint was that right out of the box, the edge was fairly mediocre. My son really took a liking to it, so I sharpened it up and gave it to him. He loves it! I ordered myself a Kershaw bare knuckle to replace it. The bare knuckle is also very nice knife, that was completely razor sharp right out of the box.

It actually only weighs 3.2oz! I love copper, but I don't think I will buy anymore copper scaled knives, I Fidget too much with my knives and the green fingers and smell are annoying lol

Any problems with your fingers putting pressure on the lockbar when you go to flip it? Some people are saying it has a super strong detent, but I think their fingers are putting pressure on the lockbar making it difficult to flip open.

The specs say 3.7oz. Another guy reviewed it. He weighed it and it was coming in below the published specs. Like 3.3 / 3.4.

Its been months they are just going to try to cover preorders.this knife if you get a perfect on e like mine is worth way more then they are charging if done right.copper and d2 need slower work done cause copper can easly warp.i just dont see many more made not coust efficennt.how many full copper 3d scales onbearing pivots with d2 to you see for 60$

This is a awesome knife perfect scales and steel.mine is a gem no problems at all.i put a 19 degree mirror edge slices like a dream.copper scales are awesome patina nicly andif you want it to look new a little flitz andit shines.i have a feeling kershaw will not make much more of these like the original 0777 and tilt.get one before you cant itis a true gem.i have the original 0777 actually 2 of them.the damascus spinr is pealing offboth of mine which is why they are not made again.and the tilt is jusy ok compared to new knife standards.i have a feeling this one wont be made for long but it is well worth it by far .small enough so the copper weight doesnt matter.d2 is awesome steel but i heard of early problems like the 0777 and tilt had so if it gets discontinued it will bring allot of$ to buy one.the great thing about copper is it patinas butyou can bring it back to a beautiful shine with copper polish or flitz polish.d2 is my fav steel.i put a mirror edge with my wicked edge and it cuts like a laser.i have a1200$ mariphone mini matrix andi feel like a fool for buying it.not only for the cost but for the quality.the natrixhas bearings and flips like a dream the mariphone matric does not and needs wrist action to flip.so i paid the amount of a used car for shitty made titanium scales ,there are machine lines all over it and full mirror blade.i sent itback twice to microtech cause screws constantly fell outlosing them i didnt buy the100$ tool.it took over 6 months each time gor a screw plus they wanted 500$ to take the scratches out of the mirror blade.i also had to pay for shipping.i got a piece of shit mariphone welded piece of steel for my troubles.get the copper natrix cause i dont think many more will be avail.it is a true gents knife that has a indestructible scales that can be brought back to new in seconds .a blade steel that if sharpen correctly will hold a hair splitting edge better then most super steals.pluss kvt bearings flips like a dream with a solid satisfying smack.if it were larger it would to heavy.get one while you still can.this blade is way under priced compared to ones alike.trust me they will disappear cause i feel with the first runs problems it wont be cost effective.i got a gem of one and will buy 4 more if they come back.i have 2 on backorder waiting.full indestructible cool scales with kvt bearings plussa sheepsfoot stonewashed d2 for 60$ from Kershaw.insane

I have a copper natrix and a launch 10 .best kershaw lines for the police states.my natrix gets a awesome patina and of it gets old i use copper polish looks brand new.find another material that you can do that with.d2 nothing more to say.this is a knife that you can pass down for generations.small descrete and copper is forever.the new launch 10 is a workers knife cpm 154 best steel ever.alluminum handles hawkbill.great work knife.all haters will hate.but these two are here to stay

Stone wash youreself if you have a close dryer you can stonewash.
