The roar at the end symbolizes a lion which is the strongest animal. Sikhs recognize themselves as lions because they are very powerful🦁. Fun fact Punjab (place in India) is where most Sikhs reside was the last place Britain got control over when India was under Britain’s power. Our king at the time fell sick and died and that was the only reason Britain got power of Punjab. We had really strong army that protected our land but without a king it created a little chaos. After that Sikhs joined hands with the Hindus, we worked together to get independence from Britain

The man on fire was a 18 year old sikh boy and last soldier left in this war. The invaders wanted to burn him alive to hear him cry in pain as these brave sikh soldiers did not let them win this war even when they were only 21. So the afghanis wanted to see him in pain to calm down their anger but he was a sikh. And sikh are brave so instead of crying in pain he walked towards them with fire all over his body and he screamed at the top of his lungs- ‘jo bole so nihal sat shri akaal’. These are words of god in sikhism. And he killed many more afghanis including one of their evil leader before he died. Now you know why he was on fire. Your welcome. 😇 And yes i am a proud sikh. Jo bole do nihaal sat shri akaal. 🙏🏻🧕🏻

in 1897 when Pakistan dint exist and was a part of India not divided and Punjab Sikh empire was a major empire in the North Western front. Pakistan was before Punjab and Sindh and it was under Sikh empire that time. British were controlling this region and formed a Sikh regiment in their army from Punjab region .. and shared it's border with Afghanistan. Haveldar Sargeant Ishar Singh and his 21 Brave Sikh Soldiers of the Indian British army protect their motherland from the 10000 Afghan ruthless invaders.. He is Havildar Sargeant Ishar Singh who was in flames as the Afghans attacked their post with explosives. . Havildar bravely stood against the remaining 400 enemies never letting them inside the fort . But carried More explosives towards the remaining 400 enemies with him while he was himself burning in flames .. so as a last option to go and explode within the remaining 400 enemy .. as all the ammunition of guns were over .. and Afghans had breached the wall of the fort ..but he and his 21 brave sikh Soldiers fought till the end till their last breath till the last man standing and they never gave up..

battle of Saragarhi 1897 - Basic info - Between 2 british forts, was a small signaling post (using mirrors) for line of sight communication, where 21 sikhs were deployed. The 10000+ raiding afgans, including some cannons (in earlier times, afgan tribes used to assemble once a year or every few years & raid/plunder plains to live rest of year) Sikhs had the option to retreat/ fallback etc. They decided to make a last stand to honour there ancestors. The 21 killed 600 before they died. This disheartened the afgan raiders, as no easy plunder be available so post this battle, they left there dead & left. Both british forts documented this battle as was in there line of sight but not in range. The signaling post was in ruins due to cannon, its obvious most survived that & then took on afgans. You can still see some Black & white photos of that broken down signaling post, while british took once afgans left. The objective was to take the signaling post easily & then both forts be blinded & wont venture out & will be easily able to loot rest of plains, but they were not so sure after this battle, if they wanted to continue. It took 7+ hrs for the 10000 afgan raiding army to kill those 21 Sikhs. Best last man standing, intimidation tactics

the 21 Sikhs were given a job to hold their post until more help arrived which they did ,unfortunately they didn't exactly win against 10,000 but managed to hold them for very long time , eventually the 21 Sikhs all died in the battle but they did manage to stop the Afghan from advancing

The battle of saragari is still celebrated in Sikh regiment of Indian army. All the 21 soilders of 36th sikh regiment were awarded victoria cross, which was the highest gallantry award of British empire. 36th sikh regiment is a thing of legend for all the sikh warrior till date. Sikh are as gentle as the come but fearsome when they battle. The guy on fire was a teenage soilder who blew himself up and was the last one to die. The afgan soilders tried to burn him along with the watch tower. This is documented. Gurmukh Singh was his name.
