This is not just a simple album. Kesha (and Kelly Clarkson) used songwriting as therapy and both of them created literary pieces, truly hope this new album gives her the recognition, honor and admiration she has always deserved.

All I Need Is You is actually about her cat, Mr. Peeps, who was very sick when she wrote it. But it relates so well to my relationship with my mom that it gets me close to crying every time. So good 💕

The relatability to “Living in my head” for me is so hard to hear. The cycles of thoughts that a lot of people can’t understand. I love how Kesha is bringing everyone together that has similar emotions😭

this album honestly felt like taking psychedelics and going through the highs and lows of a trip, with intense explosive moments and quiet depressive in her head moments as she processes the trauma grief and beautiful moments of it all. It really felt like a journey once eat the acid started. Also little fun fact. In only love reprise at the end it features a voice saying “I wish I could talk in technicolor” it’s of a housewife from the 50s who they gave acid for an experiment and it’s really fascinating seeing how she breaks down her “housewife” persona as she starts tripping
@bennshouts Жыл бұрын
Wow... that's intense... and kinda sad... very fitting I suppose haha

Second song in the album is explicitly about psychedelics from what I understand. It's really cool.

For one this album is like living inside a mental breakdown and it's tragic but beautiful. One I can understand all too well, Living In My Head is literally where I've been living. On another note I'm with you on Only Love Can Save Us Now... I need 10 more verses too!!!
@thelifeandtimes.ofazombiegirl Жыл бұрын
My favorite as a fav listen is Only Love but Living In My Head is sp personal to me that I've gotta say that's my fav. Also Eat The Acid and the line in The Drama when she says "I think I killed the part of me I like" just tore through my heart with truth. God bless her for being brave enough to make this album... album of the year to me

Peace & Quiet is my favourite song on the album. The beat reminds me of a bouncy ball. And something about the flow of certain pieces of the vocals remind me of Lady Gaga’s Paper Gangsta.

I needed some time with this record because I didn’t at first get the vision but I’m glad to say it aged so well and I absolutely love it now Kesha really evolved into a fantastic songwriter and the production on this album is so unique and weird and cohesive she truly outdid herself with this piece of art

Happy and All I Need Is You literally made me cry uncontrollably. Happy is the soundtrack of my life rn, really all I hope to be in life is just happy and that’s all I want. Though i tbh don’t think I’ll ever have that. All I Need Is You reminds me of my first dog, Ginger, who sometimes I can’t even look at pics of without crying, bc she was a literal Angel on earth and was one of the most amazing creatures to ever exist. I miss her so much and I really hope she’s in some astral plane of existence living her best pupper life.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this album when she first announced it just because High Road had such a unique structure with songs that I absolutely love and others that I simply can’t stand. But when I heard the first two releases from Gag Order, I knew this would be a good listen and I was so right. Such a great album.
