I honestly love all of Kesha’s ballads, I can’t believe she was told that she couldn’t do this kinda music and the songs like she wrote on rainbow. To me Kesha is at her best when she sings ballads and opens up her emotional side.

@praeliasdecorum5539

Supposedly, her manager was drugging and raping her, and she refused to make music if it meant she had to work with him. She's got some kind of agreement with them that allows her to make music for now, without dealing with him, and I think she's still going to court over the whole thing because she wants to outright break her contract with them and leave so she doesn't have to work with him.

Such a great song. It genuinely helped me process and start to heal from a decade and a half long marriage. I'd been numb for months. I chose to leave, but I hadn't even begun to grieve for what was lost, much less comprehend how different my life would be. I love how the lyrics don't focus too much on placing blame or trying to claim the high ground, they just cut straight to the bone about what it feels like when someone you loved so much forces you to walk away. I'll never hate my ex wife but goodness gracious did I resent her. Feels so much better to be able to listen to this song 9 months after I first heard it. Thanks Kesha n Sturgill...

Her deconstructed version of The Harold Song. Her acoustic Shots on the Hood of my Car. Her high note in Praying. The way she cracks her voice, and you feel heart break, and gives her everything in the last verse of Father Daughter Dance. This gem of a song - resentment. LGBT advocate with BFF. Girl. Any haters saying you’re a party girl, or auto tuned, or whatever nasty stuff people are trying to say now a days - girl. Look at the masterpieces you’ve created. You’re a queen. i love this softer, more introspective stuff from Kesha. it's a really nice contrast to her other work. Spaceship is one of my absolute favorite songs of hers and now Resentment might be up there as well. I'm really hoping there'll be more stuff like this on High Road

@@staggbones she took the dollar sign out during rehab after Warrior as she was breaking free. I think I saw a recent interview where she said something about putting it back in for one song?

@@andysiebert31 Yes, I saw that too but it's not for this song, since it says Kesha, not Ke$ha in the title.

[Verse 1] I feel loved, darling, I feel used Nobody makes me feel the way that you do And sometimes I, sometimes I, sometimes I just can't stand it Isn't that just the thing about us? I'm still thinking you could be the one But you're always, you're always, you're always taking me for granted [Pre-Chorus] I got something I gotta get off of my chest I've been staying up while you're sleeping in my bed [Chorus] I don't hate you, babe, it's worse than that 'Cause you hurt me and I don't react I've been building up this thing for months Oh, resentment [Verse 2] I know you better than you know yourself And there's a part of you that you won't help You say you can't do it, just do it, just do it for my sake It's a shame knowing we could be good That you could treat me better if you really wanted to And if you can't do it for my sake, then do it for our sake [Chorus] I don't hate you, babe, it's worse than that 'Cause you hurt me and I don't react I've been building up this thing for months Oh, resentment [Bridge] Don't know how to leave or how to stay So I've been talking to strangers 'Cause I can't talk to you anymore that way Did I let you down? 'Cause you let me down But you would never say that I let you down But you let me down, you let me down [Chorus] But I don't hate you, babe, it's worse than that 'Cause you hurt me and I'm more than sad I've been building up this thing for months Oh, resentment

Got this impression that Kesha makes more short songs but the messages in them are so POWER FUL as her voice ! She goes to the essencial, in her pure soul. And this song made me cry, it's like a lullaby for my broken heart to make it stop crying and now sleeping healthy.. Love you Kesha

This is 100% a perfect description of being in a longterm relationship with a severe alcoholic. "I dont hate you babe, it's worse than that. 'Cause you hurt me and I don't react" is so close to home that it's not just close to home, its inside my home rifling through my drawers. Thank you for this song Kesha, this is a perfect gift at a perfect time and I have a little more oomf to keep going another day. 🖤
