She got away on her second attempt. She had the same sort of trouble getting up the hill out of Bridgnorth Station, on the SVR in 1991.

The loco is facing downhill, which doesn't help either. The water in the boiler runs towards the unpowered bogies and unloads the driving wheels. The opposite effect is why a Castle was more sure-footed than a native Gresley Pacific for the haul out of KX.

Nice video, I can see myself leaning out one of the windows in the last coach! Must of been something on the rails which made it hard to pull away or something.
