I always design using a blocked shear wall design, but this is great knowledge to have! Thank you for the quality content as always!

As a recent mech grad doing a partially civil role your videos are a godsend. Thank you so much for contributing to the online resources for engineers, it's greatly appreciated!

Omega is what engineers called a "safety factor" when doing allowable stress design for everything before the 1980's.

Another cool idea, if you’re into, make a segment of videos weekly or monthly, about the topics that are in Reddit, sometimes are very funny

There’s always good questions there, like someone said: there’s no stupid question just stupids that don’t ask. Bunch of questions and cool topics, ignore for the sake of our mental health the topics around salary lol

When is going to be videos about typical foundation system calculations, cause I’ve seen different approaches for typical house and building analysis and design criteria, like monolithic (thicken edge slabs, strip footing, spread footings), also let’s review typical load path conditions, those topics are very often useful for newcomers engineers all over the states. PS: nice channel, one of the more useful and didactic as u can possibly do, and also the more consistent, keep doing it.

If the 6" o.c. nailing pattern cannot be verified can a work around of using galv metal strap archieve the bracing requirement?
