Fantastic video. Thanks for getting out of the tourist areas. The blue sign at time 0:25 is not a street sign. It says it is a cultural area. These are typically alleys which are set aside for preservation. If you want a suggestion for a Vlog, try the rooftop bar in the old section of the Caravelle Hotel. It is a bar/restaurant with a lot of history and used to be a wild place. I haven’t been there in years and I heard it has been modernized and is a much more reserved place now.

A year ago I up in north Vietnam on a bike tour and going around Hanoi the traffic was crazy, it was the horns that was something else, constant blasting non stop, seems the south is different sounds relatively quiet.

If you are there for Tet , this is a few months old :-) am also a fan of the back streets , where the locals eat :-) As for not knowing where you are , I had to use google maps :-) Was trying to place where you were , then saw exhibit A :-) Hotel is cool with the snacks etc , pool not huge , yet good enough for some exercise . At last , you were in D1 :-) Was in D3 March , yes did the walking street for old times sake :-) Bought a cheap beer at the 711 and cruised . Yes , a bit loud :-) And 30 k dong was a good price , was paying 25 k for a Banh Mi outside my hotel . 10k for a nice icecream cone :-) I just did Buon Ma Thuot , Da Lat and Nha Trang this time . itching to get back . Tet is chaos and a little more expensive , did you not see firework displays ? Where to next in Nam ?
