Nick … Had to comment!!! Long term subscriber, but haven’t watched in a while because at age 69, I’m in graduate school and also ketovore/carnivore. Me, I’m down 65 lbs with 100-125 left to go. Am most proud of you!!! You have the right attitude and mindset; you are also most in tune with your body and what this is going to take long term!!! Keep up the great work; behind, beside, for, and with you 101%! Chuck Knight formerly from Buffalo, Texas and now from Atascocita, Texas. ✝️🎣👨‍🌾🦌🙏

Good for you man, your hard work is showing off, you definitely look way slimmer. Did the same exact diet, 330 down to 175. Keep it up! I also highly recommend getting some dumbbells and a workout bench, adds a new level of motivation and you dont need to deal with the gym and people. Before you know it, you're gonna be shredded brother!

Strawberries and blueberries are good for keto, if you are hankering for fruit. Very low carbs on both and just a couple strawberries or a small handful of blueberries a day to keep under the 20 to 50 grams per day to stay in Ketosis.

Great job buddy! I started basically keto aug. 11 2023 at 300lbs. On Jan. 11 2024 I was down to 215. I eased off the strict diet and have maintained 212 to 216 for the last 2 months while eating what I like in moderation. I'm trying to allow my skin to catch up before I go for under 200lbs. My high blood pressure and diabetes has gone away, and I can now run a couple miles non stop. It has made being outdoors so much better! I too get cold really easy now, it makes me feel like a wimp lol. Keep it up!!

Glad you are dealing with it young my friend, life's better as a slim man, people always judge overweight people, the food industry and SAD diet has ruined many, choose food wise eggs,real meat,fish, a little oatmeal, only low carb veg. Unsolicited advice: Salmon patties with pork rinds instead of traditional breading are good and it's keto. May add another item to your menu. Which is always helpful when you have a wide variety of healthy options. It helps keep you in line when trying to lose weight. Rather than cutting out all the things we love. It's like a crash diert at that point. Personally I would keep away from all dairy. It's probably part of the reason why you noticed a slowing down of your weight loss. Once you started to add things back it slowed. And the things you added were things that are typically what make people keep on weight. Anyway. I'm glad you're enjoying your weightloss journey and that it's working out for you. Keep it up! Also remember to stay active! That will help a ton. Walking, maybe rowing, if you like kayaking or boating. And light weight lifting. And the normal stuff like situps and push ups. They help a ton . They will help shape your body as you lose weight and you'll probably notice the weightloss even more.

Been a while last I watched your videos until today but yeah super cool you're doing keto because I started doing keto too like 3 weeks ago and down 12 pounds already. Surprisingly easy in some aspects and even created a blogger thingy to document my daily progress in my profile. I used to be such a sugar fiend and all into breads and pastas I was worried I would fail this "diet" but nahhh bro if anything I internally get revolted at the sight of cake nowadays. Just thinking how many hidden sugars and carbs are in everything it really makes you more conscious of the world around you. Definitely incorporate some exercise sooner than later...i hate gyms so i workout at home doing simple walking workouts just to break some sweat at least once a day. Also stay hydrated too! Super important.

Remember Carbs and meat all have Calories. How many calories are in one gram of fat, carbohydrate, or protein? Carbohydrates provide 4 calories per gram, protein provides 4 calories per gram, and fat provides 9 calories per gram. If you are eating more Calories then you are burning you will store them. If you are burning more Calories then you are taking in then you will lose weight. If you are taking in too much sugar and carbs then you will get insulin spikes which will make it impossible to burn fat. You are correct it is much better to eat protein and steaks instead of sugar and carbs to keep your body burning fat and to also burn your body fat so you don’t get the insulin spikes. keep doing the keto, but don’t forget your vegetables!👍✝️🙏

How about the thermic effect of the different macronutrients? Fat: 2-3% Carbs: 6-8% Protein: 25-30% "Sources vary on the exact numbers, but it’s clear that protein requires much more energy to metabolize than fat and carbs If you go with a thermic effect of 25% for protein and 2% for fat, this would mean that 100 calories of protein would end up as 75 calories, while 100 calories of fat would end up as 98 calories."

Do not listen to this guy. Just eat fat and meat (saturated fat). You cannot overeat it. Your body will signal you to stop eating .. do not count calories. The CICO model has been proven false over the years. Please watch Dr Berry, Dr Chaffee, Dr Baker on KZbin. Most of the people giving you “diet” advice here are terribly wrong. All your body needs is meat and water. That’s it. Beef, butter, bacon, eggs. It’s too simple.
@slowjamcdub
@slowjamcdub 4 ай бұрын
Yes you’re right and also sugars and carbs will spike insulin which makes it harder to burn fat. It’s definitely better to eat keto to burn fat and stay in ketosis for fat burning

You look great. I was fat too. I know what you mean about your neck and shoulders. Your face is more defined too. When I lost my weight I was able to firm up everywhere except my belly I have loose skin. I’m not really sure if it will ever firm up. I’m told it won’t so one day I would have to get it liposuction or tummy tuck but I’m old so I probably won’t do that. You’re doing a good job. Keep at it just stay healthy.

Mc D i totally get... But steak??? "Pod people, pod people!!"😆 Pork is the worst of the "every day meats". As for the rest, moderation is key. Chicken breast isnt really unhealthy, and if you deserve a treat, go for some beef or chicken thighs on occasion. Im no dietician, but i've never been over 180 in my life...

Good job Nick. I lost a shitload of weight on keto. It’s can be tough to keep it up. Remember to eat enough fat. Real keto involves getting 70% of your calories from fat. Cheese and veggies are just fine. I eat the hell out of some broccoli. 🥦 Eat salmon, it’s so good for you with the omega 3’s. And avocado is basically a superfood. 😊

Personally I would recommend trying to eat beef again, it's so incredibly nutrient dense that you kind of want it in your diet, but I know how you feel because I was the same but what I did was add things to my ground beef like bits of bacon and a bit of cheese and maybe some pickles/onion if you like that it can completely change the meal. Other thing was I don't think people realise how hard it is to do this until they've been through it themselves and I have so just wanted to say I can see the hard work you're putting in and it's not going unnoticed, it takes a huge effort so be proud of yourself.

WOW I didn't even know you were on a diet ( haven't been on KZbin in a while) like I was saying, I didn't know that you were on a diet and when I saw the video pop up my first response was "holy cow". You REALLY look great. Totally noticable. So happy that you are taking healthy habits seriously. You will notice all the aches and pains go away as well. This is really awesome news. Great job. I eat lots of salads mainly spinach and romaine and instead of using salad dressing, I use some pickle juice and oregano. And shake my salad up in a container with a lid. Put hard boiled eggs on top, tuna fish, slices of fat free ham from the deli, just some options for you. Tastes like a sub without the bread or sub roll. I love it. You can add onion, radish, cucumber, or even buy the bottle of Sub dressing from the deli at the grocery store nest to the sub department. Find out what your blood type is and they have a chart that you can look up, and it will tell you what food is best for your blood type. And don't get frustrated when you get at a point where you are not losing any weight, don't give up, it's normal but it's going to pass.🥰❤️

How tall are you? If you gain muscle, 180 isn't a bad place to park awhile. If you're shorter, I'd aim for 150. Anything under 200 is better for your joints and heart in the long-run.
