Nick, I can't believe that everyone involved wasn't transported to the hospital from the accident scene! I'm not clear on whether you went to the hospital or not. I heard you mention it, but did you go? If not then you need to go now. At the very least you probably have broken ribs, and those headaches are not a joke. I was a police officer, and a volunteer firefighter. In EMT class we were taught that it is possible to have a C2(ish) fracture and be unaware of it until you turn your head just right....and then you are paralyzed from the neck down for the rest of your life. I know that is an extreme example, but if there is even a remote possibility then don't risk it. I hope you make a complete and fast recovery!

Oh my gosh! I'm so glad everyone is OK!! Please make sure you get checked out medically for everything because some injuries do not show up immediately because of swelling. I was in an accident in 2015 in April and some injuries did not show up on an MRI until September. Sending daimoku for you (buddhist chanting prayer). Take your time healing!

You don't realize that when your car stops on impact your body keeps going at whatever speed you are traveling. It has happened to me, I felt myself going towards the windshield and then wham the seatbelt stopped me. It's just so important. I am glad you are physically okay. Mentally it takes some time to recover, give yourself grace.

Thank god you are okay. After accidents like that, your adrenaline goes so high and then when it goes out, it can leave you physically ill for days and days and days. On top of that all the pain from the crash and the mental pain just take care of yourself.

Glad you're all with us brother. That's a heck of a speed to have a collision. Thanks for sharing. Hope you are able to talk about it with loved ones as I am sure you're going to be dealing with the mental side effects for a while.

Oh man Nick I'm sorry that happened to y'all. I'm glad it wasn't worse and that ya'll didn't get hurt worse. Take your time and rest up. Take the time to come up with content ideas and getting supplies/gear to use and film with etc. when you get to feeling better and up to it. You are lucky as you know. I understand that feeling you mentioned about not wanting to even get in a vehicle now. After my first serious wreck I couldn't even ride with someone else driving for years unfortunately. It got better but I still am choosy who I will ride with to this day and that's been over 25 years ago. We were on a back road here in NW Alabama and there were gravel patches from repaving being done. This chick I know was driving and she started fishtailing and lost control. We were going down a hill at the time and there was a curve at the bottom we came up on and had a bridge over a creek at the curve. We ended up sliding off the road over on our side and landed on the Creek. The vehicle was an older mini van her mom drove and it was one that was made back in the early 90's that only had one sliding rear door. Turns out we landed on the side the door was on. After I asked if her and a couple other people were on that was with us we're ok I climbed to the front and braces my back on the front passenger seat and push the driver door open with my legs bc it was jammed for some reason. I guess it was from the body being out of shape from flipping over. We didn't flip persé but actually rolled twice before coming to a stop on side. Anyway, we were in a creek ander a bridge and there was an electric fence that ended up shocking me bc it was dark and couldn't see well. We got up on the road eventually and walked a mile to the other road and a guy we knew was heading home with his family and picked us up. That's right down the road from my land up here on a mountain. That other feeling you felt when you said it was hard to breathe and hear ? Did you feel like everything slowed down a lot too ? I did too on the two other wrecks I was in also. But anyway, yea glad you made it man. See ya. -Dustin C. 🇺🇸

That's common nick your fight or flight response took over and your brain sort of shuts down and muscle memory takes over.... Your injuries are real and you need to make sure you document them well and take care of yourself... As for what you saw after the accident it takes time to process it, just know you couldn't have done anything to change it and do not fear talking about it maybe a trip to the local firehouse and having a chat with some firefighters and or EMTs will help you negotiate those feelings.... I felt very weird after having tried to save someone from a burning car when I was 21 and not being able to get it done and I wasn't involved in the accident I just happened to pull up on it....I had talks with several people including a firefighter and that helped me to work through all the what ifs how's and why's....

Glad everyone made it out alive. Not a doctor, but I would say you bruised your ribcage/sternum. It will be 2 weeks before you start to feel better and about 6 weeks to be back to normal. Talking from experience, you will be different of course. Don't be scared to drive and inevitably you will have to, so don't fear it. Good luck Nick.

Glad you're okay buddy. We had a similar experience when we were driving home one night. A car blew through a stop sign and crossed right in front of us, I missed their bumper only because I was paying attention and swerved to avoid them. Nobody got hurt, but people need to pay attention more to things like that when driving.
