I replaced the pump with your help, thanks so much. However now it does not recognize the carafe at all. Ideas?
@blackhorserepairs3 ай бұрын
there's air in the pipe so no pressure is detected, fill it up and apply 12V to the pump to force it to work until the water is flowing. If that doesn't help, make sure the pipe is connected to the pressure sensor.
@GSndrhn3 ай бұрын
@@blackhorserepairs it pumps and makes a kcup just fine, but when I want to use the carafe, it won't work. The flow seems good
@blackhorserepairs3 ай бұрын
@@GSndrhn have you tried multiple carafe cups? As far as I know, the cup is detected via pressure, faulty seal on the cup can cause it not to be detected.

What do you use to run thru and clean the machine parts behind the water tank without taking it apart?

I have Keurig 2 that was not dispensing the full amount coffee and was leaking water. Got it apart from your video, thank you. Apparently the pump’s diaphragm has a hole in it, as I ran a brew and you can see water coming from the motor side of the unit. Do you know where a diaphragm can be acquired?

I would just get the whole pump on ebay, that's where I get my replacement parts :) check the rest of the path, more often it's the blockage that causes this behavior, then the pump damage is a result of that

@@blackhorserepairs thank you have a a whole pump coming. Will check down stream. Element down stream, water heater then dispenser with needle, is there any thing else I should look at?

Hello, mine no longer gives the "More water please" prompt in the display when the water level is low, nor does the blue light at the bottom of the water reservoir blink anymore when the water level is low. The machine otherwise works fine. Its been descaled a couple times, and I have even reset the machine by unplugging it for a day, but it still won't work properly. Any suggestions?

Which version do you have? Is there a floating magnet in the tank? Sometimes it can get stuck, just shake it a bit until it start rattling. If you have a newer version, there is a sensor inside the device on the side where the tank goes. It requires disassembly (which is a pain) but the sensor is replaceable.
@gregsewell07 ай бұрын
@@blackhorserepairs I don't have the magnet version. It's the internal sensor
@blackhorserepairs7 ай бұрын
@@gregsewell0 check the still at 07:05 that is the internal tank that determines whether there is water in the external tank. Before disassembly do this: 1. fill the tank with water + vinegar + lemon juice (just a splash) 2. replace the tank 10 times, this will hopefully push some mixture inside the tank 3. run the hot water cycle until the tank is empty If that made no difference, you'll need to disassemble the device and focus on the bottom intake, if there's a blockage or air bubble it might restrict or block water flow. I had an issue like that but the opposite, the device would never see that there is water in the tank. The solution was just to clean it :)
@gregsewell07 ай бұрын
@@blackhorserepairs I've already done the plunger method with vinegar in the tank about 20-30 times, but no difference. I've even blown the bottom portion out with compressed air, and taken the front panel off, removed those accessible tubes inside and blown them out too, but it didn't help. I'm fearing the electronic sensor died.
@blackhorserepairs7 ай бұрын
@@gregsewell0 indeed you eliminated easy fixes, yep, that's probably the sensor issue or something else wrong with the board. The replacement board (depending on the model) is around $30 but the replacement procedure is extremely complex, so make sure you dedicate the whole day to that :) You can of course send it in for repair but depending on the model it might not make economic sense.

I agree with the other comment. All your diagnosis was what I wanted to see. But it was fast forwarded. How unfortunate. You should have stopped to explain as you made critical observations. I have a 2.0 that won’t stop pumping. Any suggestions on this?
@blackhorserepairs Жыл бұрын
sorry about that. If your pump keeps pumping, the pressure sensor is not reporting or you have a short on output stage controlling the motor. In either case you can replace the board which will resolve the problem. If you don't have the replacement, your only option is to diagnose the board. Does the motor (pump) turn on immediately after powering on or when you press the button?
@SirChristopherHAX Жыл бұрын
As soon as I power it back on it just starts pumping without stopping. I had the whole thing apart last night and after cleaning it out it just randomly started working properly. None of the connections look compromised. The top half of the circuit board looks a little overheated though. So I wouldn’t be surprised if you were correct about the board replacement. It’s the same generation you have there so I doubt it would be very easy to find a replacement board in good condition. Getting that trim piece back on top was terrible. lol

Make sure it's not the wire otherwise the board replacement will not resolve the problem. Yeah, disassembly and assembly are ridiculous on this device :D
@SirChristopherHAX Жыл бұрын
Where is the pressure sensor, and what color is the wire going to it please 🙏
@blackhorserepairs Жыл бұрын
@@SirChristopherHAX can't tell you exactly (no board in front of me) but there's a silicone tube going directly into the board, the sensor chassis is on the other side. Check for cracked solder on it and on the cable harness (it's easy to trace). The sensor itself can be tested but I'm not sure how it works. Just probe it and simulate pressure, the resistance should change depending on the pressure (or NC/NO switch) hope this helps

Anyone know what the voltage specs are on the pump?
@blackhorserepairs10 ай бұрын
It's a 12v pump
@manna56103 ай бұрын
here is a question. without a kcup in the holder, the flow is good. when I put a kcup and run a cup of coffee, it is no to low flow or even just a few dribbles. is it the check valve on the top or the pump that has gone bad. or am I way off.
@blackhorserepairs3 ай бұрын
without a kcup there is no pressure working against the flow. When the kcup is inserted the pump must create a pressure to brew the coffee properly. If there is no flow, I would expect that the pump is faulty or there is low power. It might be a faulty seal on the pump or worn gears. Take the cover off and supply the pump with 12V while blocking the flow to test compression. If there is no compression, replace the pump. If the compression seems fine we likely have power issue. I would not expect the valve to be faulty but it's also possible.
