If you put the milk in when you start the coffee and hit the cap or latte button it will froth the milk at the same time the coffee is brewing, but toward the end of the brew so the milk is freshly done.

Zach T Yes! Came here to say this...unlike a conventional home espresso machine, which more often than not has a single boiler/thermoblock for espresso and steam, the K-Cafe allows you to create coffee and froth at the same time.

Received this as an early Holiday gift from my wonderful sister in law. If you already have a Kuerig, the only change is the frother, which in and of itself is a game changer. Elevates you’re home brew to a whole new level. If you’ve never had a Kuerig, prepare yourself for an awesome coffee experience. We used the pod drawer underneath from the former unit. It extends a couple of inches over, but the pod holder is a must do to store and slide. This is an excellent detailed review of this unit.

Great tutorial!! I bought my Keurig on Saturday (mothers day gift )I absolutely love mine. You can also use the regular espresso/cappuccino coffee in reusable pod, instead of the k-cups if you want a stronger coffee..The froth is great! This machine replaced the 2 that I had on my counter. It makes a great cup of coffee and like you showed, cappuccino and latte. So easy to use and clean.

This was an excellent demonstration video. Totally excellent. Your coffee brand choice indicates you are fussy about flavor. That gives you enormous credibility, at least to me. One teeny thing: that’s too much milk for cappuccino. Cappuccino is twice as dark as that. Using Lavazza is as good as espresso. Try a Perfetto con panna. Absolutely excellent!

Shes allowed to use however much milk or sugar or whatever other amount of any other ingredient she would like. It's her coffee shell flavor it to her liking. It's also not real espresso so it wouldn't be as dark anyway.

Many people comment on how coffee drinks are made and they are allowed to state their opinion just like she is allowed to make her drink how she wants. Maybe a disclaimer by the person making the video would prevent these comments. It should be understood that there is a reason you make it a certain way. it's a recipe. it would be like making a cafe au lait and adding foam to call it a cappuccino. not the same.

this is so good! I am between K-Elite and K-Cafe and both of those reviews were amazing. I like the look of Elite but I would need to purchase a separate frother in that case. Anyone know if you can use coconut milk or oat milk at all? I know its mentioned you can use Skim, Almond and Soy but I usually drink oat or coconut... maybe a dumb question but never hurts to ask

Very good and to the point review! I will say that I have and compared both this unit and the Nespresso unit for lattes and cappuccinos and there is just absolutely no comparison. The Keurig’s espresso shot just taste like a stronger small shot of coffee and the frothier only froths the very top part of milk leaving the rest of it just liquid. When you pour the milk in the coffee/espresso it just tastes like milk with just a hint of coffee. Whereas the Nespresso actually makes a cappuccino and latte like coffee houses in Europe. Such a treat and just no comparison. The coffee pods for Nespresso is a bit more expensive and not as easy to find as Keurig pods but it is well worth it. Also the frother froths so much better with the Nespresso. I also like that the Nespresso pods are recyclable.

@@sharonmcgraw6442 to answer your question, no. To get a decent coffee flavor I use the pods designed for this machine and run it twice. One coffee shot isn't enough by any means. If you use a normal pod it will work but you'll be disappointed. It comes out even weaker. Even a normal cup comes out weak unless you press the "strong" button. Besides all of that the machine has a lot of issues. Keurigs already replaced mine twice now. I have one of those $30 espresso/latte makers that makes better lattes than this thing.

Update on the foam. When I used whole milk from Safeway (great value brand) I got very little foam. So I tried Trader Joe;s whole milk (same amount of protein, carbohydrate and fat), completely different result. I got 10 times the amount of foam that was very stable, smooth and creamy. So there is a difference between brands of the same type of milk. Don't know why. Maybe the ways the cows are feed affects things. But the point is if you're not getting the results you want, try another brand of milk.

All you have to do is add vanilla then frost your milk. Place milk in cup then add your shots. Macchiato is just an upside down latte.

Personally I put either sugar or vanilla syrup in the milk before frothing. Give it a quick stir after pouring over the coffee shot and it comes out really good.

Great video. I've seen comments about this machine from people who said the frother didn't work. My experience with frothers is that the issue usually is with the milk. Some brands of milk have an ingredient in there that prevents bubbling and frothing due to their manufacturing process. Here in Quebec the "Lactantia" pure filter branded milk will not froth. Natrel will froth. It's going to be a trial and error process.
