@jeffsorrows2 ай бұрын
I always loved his lines in PorN star Dancing, just good stuff, I bump NB here and there, if everyone truly hated them, they wouldn't of have multiplat albums. It's good music, people can call them fake Rockstars and sell outs but it's solid music. Kinda like half the rappers talk about lifestyles they never lead. Hell a lot of rock/metal bands I listen to talk about killing and all sorts of degen shit, but none of them are doing that (for the most part) lol I mean just look at BBL Drizzay, I mean Drake, the only person he murdered was Xxxtencion hiring that hit squad, but he will be listening to Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" at all the high school proms he attends lol

@_Y.Not_4 ай бұрын
What is that you think they did to deserve the hate they got? Especially compared to many other bands out there? I'm curious
@jonathanbolger61734 ай бұрын
@@_Y.Not_ to be honest I've no strong feelings on it. I don't really like they're music generally, I feel like the album tracks that I've heard just aren't good in my opinion. He's a good singer and the band seem ok musically but I don't think they do anything special to deserve the push the industry gave them back in their heyday. I think for a lot of people they represent the worst of manufactured rock music. They remind me a lot of maroon 5, not stylistically but more so in what they represent. Extremely processed and produced music. Both bands had some good songs early on, got pushed to the moon, instead of evolving and developing artistically, it disintegrated into highly manufactured music. And to add, I wouldn't class myself as a music snob and I have no strong feelings on it, but I do understand why people do.
@jeremykratochvil28813 ай бұрын
@@_Y.Not_ its not necessarily their fault, it was overplayed to high hell. Canada specifically had a law that radio stations must play a high percentage of Canadian artists, and Nickleback was one of the most popular artists and got WAYYYYYY too much airplay causing people to hate them just on overexposure.

Great band and an intelligent band and Chad is the most prolific rock songwriter ever... There was a problem with over saturation because their songs were so good and hand many different songs on the radio playing at the same time over and over all the time. That's like picking one thing and only eating that one thing over and over. You have to ease songs out. They are still the best. Groovy man!

I love them. I met them with my son Will. My Dad was fighting for his life from heart bypass. I had a great time. We had a BBQ with Jerry Cantrell and Nickelback. I was so unprepared to have fun. Guilt. This cute young couple sat next to us and took a picture of me and Will. They thought it was so cool that he chose me to bring. I didn't ever think they would actually send it. Surprise, they sent it. It was a great bonding experience. I started looking at guilt differently. My Dad loved that I did this when he was sick. RIP Rich Baier. 🙏 ❤

This song came out after I've been married for a year and I realized that I had made a bad bad bad decision but now she was pregnant with my first and only child. FML I made it last for 8 more years of living hell through a bankruptcy, and panic attacks until I finally surrendered the divorce with joint custody. And in the end as we stood in line to hand in the divorce papers those words "are we having fun yet?" Received an answer 35 days later when I got noticed that divorce was approved when another song came on the radio saying "Sometimes goodbye is a second chance."
