I bike ride 3 times a week round my local area , and go to the chippy for one man that sleeps in a shop door " if he's there he likes to move about" but i always look out for him when about town and try and have a little chin wag with him, nice to give him a hot meal and a few £ to make life that little bit easier for him, and i "know" he appreciates it..

I thought when you started highlighting the homeless issues that it was a massive step but the way you’ve handled it, the contacts you’ve made and your own learning curve about the obstacles, harshness and realities of the problem are there for all to see in your videos. I’ll support you as much as I can and I know you’re already making a difference. 👍👍👍👍

Kev once i separated with the wife i was sort of nomadic for a few years and was homeless from place to place, luckily i had a few quid in the bank so i was always tented up etc etc, i eventually started staying miles out of town centres due to other homeless robbing my stuff constantly. Not all bad but a few rotten eggs everywhere, but i suppose they thought a clean and tidy homeless guy ain't real homeless or something. But my main point is that anywhere around the UK and i mean anywhere from small villages to major cities there was loads of homeless. Our nation is treating mainly UK citizens worse than any none UK citizen. Yeah there's Eastern Europeans on the street but most of the 1s I spoke to actually received 2grand to leave the UK but never left, but unable to claim benefits after exceptin the money. Now is that not a sly way of getting ppl off benefits for numbers sake on polls to look good and to save money in the long run. Anyway I'm settled now but always help the real homeless not the fake homeless as and when I can coz it's not a life at all

This end of day reductions is nothing new to some older folk like me.from a family of 7 children my mother used to send me to a Scott's bakery just before it closed at 6pm for anything they had not sold.she used to send me over 20 mins before it closed.i was maybe 10 or younger. The shame of waiting until the staff took what they wanted has perhaps never left me. I developed a stutter which I still have to this day. Sometimes got nothing to bring back and I felt had let everyone down.

Now you are getting into collaborations and expanding the scope of information available you should all come together in regular think tanks and co-ordinate effort and pool resources. It would be good if you were able to centralise help possibly as a 'drop in' style premises. Where people can not only use the facility (and maybe even socialise a bit) but also as a hub for people to donate.

Fantastic idea, let’s see if we can make things happen

PS Kev if, as you mentioned in the video, this came from my suggestion of meeting such other groups, I hope it is proving to be useful and allowing you to be more focused and less bewildered about the impact you can make and more importantly sharing the burden of responsibility. I wish I could be more engaged but my health won't allow. However my head still works well enough and my life experience immeasurable to at least help with some guidance.

Sad thing is the fakes, you'll see 10 x more homeless in the day than the night... I know a couple who get every benefit including high PIP and between them make £100 a dag begging....on about £6k a month 😲😲😲 oh and they never buy food as there really is a lot of help for that 🤔🤔 These are the ones that spoil it for the genuine. Name and shame them Kev or they won't learn. Its not a good look for companies to be looking down at people and making them feel shame for struggling during an especially bad economic downturn. Poor customer service - and never forget you are still a customer - must be outed, mate. Name and shame. Would they prefer that the unsold food end up being wasted? Waste is criminal when there are hungry bellies that need feeding. At the very least you should take them to task and explain what you are doing and why. Hopefully you will then get an apology from them. Nobody has the right to look down their nose at anyone else. Especially when you're doing good work.
