Hi Kev, Thanks for your very brave and honest video. I am in exactly the same position as you today having just got back from the Dentist with my partial denture. Like you I hope my situation settles down and the denture starts to feel more natural and comfortable. Good luck with your teeth and thanks for the helpful video. I hope to see your follow up one.

How are you getting on with your partial denture? Have my tooth out on Thursday, tried the trial plate last week and I couldnt speak with it in at all. Am dreading it

Hi Angela, I am sticking with my partial allthough I can't lie it does not feel natural. I seem to have a very sensitive gag reflex which doesn't help. Also now that my bruising from my extractions has gone down my denture seem a bit loose so am trying using some adhesive to stop them moving. Overall I wish I had looked after my own teeth better when I was younger but we'll see how it all settled down. Good luck to you and I hope you are able to soon settle down with your denture.

@@cbkipper Its 2 weeks since I had my false tooth. Have a full plate with it on, its the fourth tooth from the front at the top. I cant get used to it, cant speak properly with it in and definitely cant eat. I cant feel the food on the roof of my mouth, feels weird. Like you, my denture seems to be more loose now. I so hate it.

You’ll be sound 👍 I’ve honestly never had any issue with them falling out or anything like that, once they’re in there in, just might take a day or so to get them in the position, I think I was wearing them wrong at first so they didn’t quite lock in but once i realised they where perfect. Good luck with yours, hope it all goes well.

@@kevedwards hey … had them done, spent the last 4hrs crying my eyes out! but my dentist is an absolute bell***! He clipped them in? But according to him they were to tight? So he’s cut them? Now don’t fit, Very long story but I’ve got an absolutely mess in my mouth! I also ended up needing 5 stitches?? Currently sat with a huge bump of dental wax or what ever this is in my mouth as he tried to patch it up! Said I’ve to leave it like this for about 8wks then I’ll get a newer one fitted? I need another dentist opinion as this is a joke tbh, but just thought I’d send a little update. This is also a private dentist also! Totally regretting this at the moment 😢

Damn that’s awful, hope it gets sorted for you. There’s always other dentists if your one is no good, they normal do free consultations so might be worth the second opinion.

Hey Kev. Ty for your openess on your experience. Later this week I'm due to have the last 4 of 7 top teeth removed due advanced gum disease. It was supposed to be last week but the denture that was prepped for me to walk out wearing didn't account for the removal of my 4 teeth. The dentist was very apologetic though I didn't get a clear indication of how this might have happened. My mild relief didn't offset any of my recent apprehension. Nevertheless this is the week. Your video and responses to comments really have put my mind at ease regarding the eating and speech adjustment. Thanks again.

Proud of you for doing this son. You will get used to it. Or there’s always Budapest, turkey or India 😉. A holiday in with the price. Truthfully even though I went to Budapest the best most natural I’ve seen are from a dentist in turkey though don’t know which one it was. X

Hello! I just got partial in Budapest last week. I live in the USA. Lot cheaper in Hungary . I’m from Budapest so every time I have dental issue I go there. If u have any question let me know. I’m pretty devastated about it because I always took very good care of my teeth . It’s genetics. I don’t like my partials, for me it’s uncomfortable and hard to eat with them . Can’t wait to take them out but then I’m upset how I look like without them. I’ll get implants also I think that will be great . The cost is still pretty high even in Hungary but doesn’t even come close to the price in USA. Just an extraction is $800. So crazy. I know how u feel, keep ur chin up at least we r not toothless:)
@kevedwards3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback, to be honest I don’t mind the partial, I think I am lucky that it fits really well and hasn’t given me any issues so far. I’ll probably only go for implants if I start having issues with my other teeth.

Hi can I ask how did the talking go with the dentures I have the immediate ones for now and struggling to pronounce certain word mainly S’s and F’s I get my partials in 6weeks time
@kevedwards3 жыл бұрын
Took me a few weeks but it’s surprising how quick you get used to them, it’s a little daunting at first but they soon just become part of normal routine and you’ll forget you’re even wearing them in no time.

Hi kev thanks for the video. I'm due to get a partial denture next week and feeling pretty apprehensive about the whole situation only being 37. They are also for the top as 3 are now missing from injury. I just wondered what the partial denture is like for eating? And do you have to apply any dentafix etc to keep the partial denture in place. Cheers
@kevedwards2 жыл бұрын
I’ve got almost no issues what so ever eating apart from maybe really sticky toffee, can eat anything else really, often have corn on the cob and fiddle bits like that without issue. Don’t use and dentafix or anything like that, just goes in and stays there. It will take a few weeks to get used to and at first it might get you a bit down but honestly it becomes much easier to live with. It will be fine bud. 👍

Hi Kev, great to see a good human interest along with the sim rally stuff. I personally have had some extensive work done as well so I feel where your at I had jaw restructuring to fix a protruding jaw and I had braces to fix the positioning as my teeth were all twisted. Thankfully it’s all behind me although I was the exact same with the brushing when I was growing up so my gums are not too good in places. The only thing I can say is you poor fella as thankfully I’ve never had teeth out apart from wisdoms, it looks awful so I hope the denture works for you
@kevedwards5 жыл бұрын
Gearoid Nyhan that sounds like a nightmare bud, glad it’s all behind you now though. I’ll adjust myself it will just take a bit of time. I think it’s more the psychological aspect more then anything else.

Can we have an update on your partial denture please, did you end up having implants?
@kevedwards3 жыл бұрын
To be honest I’ll probably not bother with implants, not yet anyway, 99% of the time I don’t even think about the partial now I got used to it pretty Quickly. It’s really not as big as an issue as you’ll make it on your head. 👍
