I'm willing to bet that the Solar V and KKV would blow it away if tuned up to Eb. It's a basswood body, and from past experiences I've run into issues with their sound whenever I'd take it down anywhere past D Standard. Wish I still had my 100 dollar Ibanez RG, that guitar sounded and played like a 3000 dollar guitar. I'm stupid😠😠

@@KevinFrasard Hehe...far from being stupid Kev. The Jackson pickups cut through the chunck, whereas imo, the Solar pickups are a bit "muddy" and just don't have that "bite" and clarity of the Jax. Not to imply that the Solar isn't a nice axe as it for sure is. My 1st axe was (get this...) an "Arbor" 🤣 I dropped some after market DiMarzio rails in it and that cheap fucker came ALIVE! I still have it in my collection after 27 years! Floyd Rose, tune-O-matic bridge and all! Enjoy your channel...keep thrashing brother! What's your opinion on Lamb Of GOD?! 💪😎👍

It's probably the tuning, cause when I first got the guitar it was in C# and it sounded HUGE. I think that those pickups just might not do so hot with an A Standard tuning combined with the overall build. Most guitars that I've owned previously had EMG's and they did very well, especially of course the USA Jacksons! I'm gonna play on the Solar for a while in A so I can get my originals recorded and up on here, and then I'm taking it back up to C# where it really cut through! That's really cool you turned a cheapo guitar into a worthy axe and kept it. Thanks a lot for hanging out here bro!
