That shade of blue on the road jerseys + that tree trim 🌲 = iconic

You know what, I like the original blue jersey with the green letters and numbers (I really like the color scheme of blue and green) but I have to agree that the tree trim is really iconic. Thanks for the comment.

Got that blue with the tree trim coming in the mail. I'll be at the kings home opener to see them dim the beam 🐺

Kevin Garnett was a player ahead of his time. He would be even better in this era of nba.

KG was so talented. On D, KG can guard players no matter how tall or how short. I never thought about KG playing in today's game but that's an interesting thought. Thanks again for the comment.

If Kevin Garnett would've accomplished that achievement of becoming an NBA Champion helping to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to the NBA Finals and to win the trophy and represent the state of Minnesota, the championship drought and their playoff drought would've ended despite that the Timberwolves were being eliminated in the 1st round 7 times. But Kevin Garnett is still one of the best players in the NBA.

2004 was truly the year of underdogs Detroit Pistons made their way in NBA finals Carolina Panthers made their way to Superbowl Red Sox and Cardinals Made their way in World Series Calgary Flames And Tampa Bay Lightning had Best of 7 Series in Stanley Cup

Thank you so much for commenting and watching the video. If it would up being Wolves-Pistons in the 2004 NBA Finals, who do you have winning and in how many games? Hopefully those young players for DET are improving and will soon be in playoff contention. Thanks again.

@@90sSportsNostalgia I still see Detroit wining that championship because of the depth of that starting five, while Spreewell and Cassell were at then end of their prime years of that career. Depends on foul trouble, but I think Ben Wallace could hold his own in the post with KG defensively.

The west was stacked in the 2000s Spurs Lakers Mavs Kings. I think the TWolves would have lost to the Pistons in 7. Pistons were solid defensive team

I agree Jon, the West was stacked in the 2000s. Thanks for mentioning your opinion about if the Wolves-Pistons played in the Finals. I would have taken the Wolves (I was riding with the Wolves that season) but maybe I would be wrong because the Pistons defense was better than I realized. But yes, that Pistons D was really good. Thanks for the comment Jon and thanks for watching the video.

great video … 2 things … i agree with you on kg being better than tim duncan that doesn’t get talked about enough! and last …if marbury stays in minnesota …him and kg make it to a wcf or even a nba finals? whats your opinion

Thank you so much Devin for being a subscriber and thanks for the comment. Also, thank you so much for asking my opinion, I really appreciate it. To answer your question, I will begin by saying that I think Stephon Marbury was such a talent with a crossover so hard to stop because of his quickness and how he got low so quickly. But, I don't think he's someone I would want as an NBA PG. He might have been better as a shooting guard like when Iverson was with Philly. Early on, whatever team Marbury left, the team got better, - MIN, NJ, PHX, (more context may needed to explain why). Anyways, KG, Marbury and Gugliotta seemed to be a great trio on the rise, but then Marbury wanted a trade to either play of NY or NJ because he wanted to be closer to home. Kevin McHale said something like Marbury was immature. But the West was so competitive back then as I would have loved to see that trio go against their conference opponents. I think no, but maybe I'm wrong. Sorry I wrote so much, what about you, what do you think?

@@90sSportsNostalgia its all good u made some good points…. i dont think they make it to any finals with those 2 but maybe a second round appearance but ur right his best chance was with cassell and spree… those 2 were solid player everywhere they put a jersey on but other than that year Minnesota wasted some kgs best years but not puttin the right talent around him

Imagine If they had kept ray allen instead. They would've been a great duo. Marbury was a great player but had attitude issues and ego. Theres a reason why they split off which kg has even mentioned. Billups would've been better who was a leader and made his teammates better

Why would the Minnesota Timberwolves had to forfeit 5 first round draft pick selections anc then restore those draft picks during the year 2003 and in the year of 2005? If it wasn't for the contact negotiations and agreements from one of their players in Joe Smith and management front office, the Minnesota Timberwolves would still be a talented basketball team with the leadership of Kevin Garnett trying to build the team for contendership and advanced out of the 1st round of the NBA playoffs. That way Kevin Garnett would've help lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to compete in the NBA Finals and win the championship trophy to represent the state of Minnesota.

Doing that Joe Smith contract was not smart at all and David Stern wanted to make a point to not do that type of stuff. I remember hearing the news of the penalty, and I was like WOW - that is a rough penalty, but in a way I understood it. Thanks again.
