Eddie Murphy too. Makes me wonder why he didn't show. There's a bunch of people that aren't in Eddie's league that he probably doesn't mess with. I lost a lot of respect for the comedians that rallied around Chris after he insulted a black woman on air and then tried to play the victim after he threw the first punch but couldn't take the heat in the kitchen. He is continuously disrespectful and needs to be canceled.

Seen quite a few of these, and this was one of the only speeches where it was just love and thankfulness. Obviously all of the other award winners were thankful. But they had a bunch of jokes in their acceptance speech. Kevin was just straight love for people who showed him love. That was beautiful.

You forgot to thank the one person who single handedly expadited things in order for you to get this prize in 2024 at the age of 44. I think everybody can guess who that person is... Like Jerry put it, you're likeable and that's so important because it can't be faked or learned. While the 3 comedians who graced you with their presence tonight are all aquired tastes for specific niches, you are for the mass and that makes for a winning formula in any corner of the world. I don't care whether you're an industry plant or if you didn't win this prize tonight. Your focus and good habits at consistency should be idolized within the black communities you inspire. That's a common man's mantra to success. There's nothing Hollywood about that! Drug-free lucid decisions really add up over time. There are no accolades for achieving escape velocity. The reward is that warm tingly feeling of self-validation that you've made the right choices at the right time!
