Kevin Hart BREAKS DOWN in Tears While Accepting Mark Twain Prize

Kevin Hart broke down in tears while honoring his wife Eniko and his children as he received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Kevin spoke to "Extra's" Mona Kosar Abdi about what the honor meant and said he knew his late mother was smiling down. Watch the event May 11 on Netflix.

To claim he doesn’t deserve it, you clearly are not recognizing this is an award amongst his peers. So on the outside, it’s nothing to do with fans or non fans, it is a recognition of someone that has had impact on comedy and story telling. Any one of the current comedians or story tellers could have been chosen, his peers felt he has contributed. It’s nothing about who is the best or has done the most.

Chris has been hot since the 90s and he arguably has one of the greatest standup specials of all time and arguably one of the greatest black sitcoms of all time, plus he's a 3 time Grammy winner. Kevin only started getting recognition after 2010 and has never even won a Grammy
