It's true. For multiple generations, when he died, it was like losing a beloved brother or uncle, in the most crushing way. One consolation for me was reading about and his condition and realizing he did not pass the way he did out of feeling lonely or unloved....his brain and body were wracked with a very, very severe physical illness which, at that point, preventing him from thinking clearly for more than very short periods of time.

It’s 2024, I think we are all still grieving over the loss of Robin Williams. If only he knew just how much he was deeply loved by all. It’s breaks my heart that he saved so many people with laughs, but was struggling with his own darkness and I feel so guilty we didn’t save him when he needed saving the most.

He’s greatly missed, but he was killed by a disease (Lewy Body Dementia). His brain effectively turned on him. He wasn’t going to get saved by love and support. Obviously I wish he could have had a more peaceful passing with his family but he effectively had a death sentence and didn’t want to endure end stage dementia

He was suffering with Lewy Body Dementia... it's the same disease actor like Bruce Willis , Charles Bronson, and Peter Falk... there are many more that have died from this illness and others still fighting... he couldn't help himself... all he could think about was how fast he was fading away from his memories and reality. He didn't want to die that way so he chose his own terms before his health got worse. When you're not in the right frame of mind tragedies like this with Robin Williams are far more likely to occur. Families need to keep a close eye out for them, like Bruce Willis's family... he is never left alone. I have no doubt that Robin would not have killed himself if not for that diagnoses. He was just getting his life back on track... he had been struggling with alcohol and pill addictions and had checked himself into a rehab just 2 months prior to killing himself. I think he wanted to live and he wanted to get himself the help he needed to regain control of his life until his diagnoses he was set to begin again.

Oh honey, I appreciate what you said, but he couldn’t have been saved. At autopsy, his brain was so riddled with the disease that the doctor said it was a wonder he could function at all. It wasn’t fair, and it wasn’t right, but it was the hand he was dealt. He was suffering, so he made it stop.

Of all the celebrity passings in my lifetime, whether they were older and at peace and ready to go, or young and gone too soon, no one's death has stuck with me the way Robin's has. To this day I still from time to time am reminded of him, and still feel the grief like it was yesterday. For context, Im in my 30's. Disney's Aladdin was my first movie cinema film, Hook to this day is still my favourite film of all time, and I constantly quote the Birdcage just because. I'm not famous person but if my life were made a lifetime movie, he would've played my Dad. Looks and personality. I speak for a lot us when I say, "I still miss Robin Williams."

To this day, I still shed a tear when something reminds me of him. He was so ever present when I was growing up, for context I'm 40, and it's like he became member of the family. I I think of all the things I quote, and I quote A LOT of things, I quote him the most, whether it's something from Aladdin, Mrs. Doubtfire, Hook, or even one of his stand ups, he is still present in my world to this day. I cried when I went to Disney during the fireworks because they projected Genie on the castle and while playing music from Aladdin, he's just ingrained in our lives. He is very missed by everyone who fell in love with him, because we did, from Mork and Mindy to Night at the Museum. I hope he rests peacefully and that he found his Neverland.

I think its just a part of all the little groups of friends or 'cliques' in hollywood. Certain actors hang out/work/ love others. I first saw Robin Wms. as Mork on Happy Days, then later on his spin off show, Mork and Mindy. He always made me laugh…an easy to love comedian. Then he landed great movie roles…all of which I loved. Saw him do talk show interviews where everyone still expected Robin to “make them laugh” and that’s when I started to see the pain through the laughter. ❤️‍🩹 I miss Robin Wms…I didn’t know him but I wish I could’ve made HIM laugh, been his friend, helped him in some way where others could not, see that we didn’t just want him to make us laugh but that some of us TRULY loved him. I was sitting my house one day thinking, I’ve got to one day meet my favorite comedian of all time. Mr robin Williams, the very next day he passed away. I get emotional when I think of him, remembering the characters he played. His spontaneity. His rapid fire humor always kept me in stitches, I loved everything he did . From Mork and Mindy to dead poets society, robin was truly the best of the best, and I know this video is about ol billy whom I’ve loved since his days on soap. Billy Crystal is one of those genius, live-wire minds that can host a show and improvise. Always loved him. I don't think I'll almost come to tears when he dies like do with Robin. Robin's energy and genius can't be replaced, ever.
