I was at Masters Worlds last week ... we went to play a fun round at Peter Pan Park as the FPO field was finishing up. My best friend and I were sitting at a picnic table as the women were leaving the course. Ohn just walked up to us and talked to us first, she initiated a conversation and was the nicest person. So happy she took down the win. She is a genuine person and acts exactly the same off camera as she does on camera. She is the best ....

Ohn is a great player to watch! I’m already a fan so when I saw the video title, I let out an “oh shit” that prompted my wife to look at me and ask, “what? You ok?” Me: “Brodie and Uli are gonna talk to Ohn!” Her: “you DO NOT KNOW THESE PEOPLE PERSONALLY… fan boy. I don't understand why water at the halfway point is not enough unless it was unattended and empty. You have a disc golf bag that can carry two large water bottles. It's a personal problem and lack of professionalism and preparation as well.

Des passed that water station twice in the 5 holes prior to dropping out. The water jug was completely full of ice water. The outside temperature that day was around 85 degrees. No other players experienced difficulty with the heat or lack of water.

Honest question: If playing an 18 hole round, at a tournament, with 3 water stations is dangerous.. how is it possible, for professionals, to train? Or anyone to play recreationally? I mean, your body doesn't know its a tournament. So.. you just don't play DG without refreshment station at every third or fourth hole? Seiously? I don't know.. I just carry 2x1.5 litre bottles, one filled with plain water, one spiced up with natrium. Sip from one at every tee and from another at every basket. Been lucky, no strokes so far.

I was at Worlds last week and it was a tough scene all week. I play MA40 (not well lol) and we only play 2 courses rotating every day. They got severe rain 3 days before the start and it caused major flooding everywhere. The course at Olpe was completely flooded and was unplayable thru Monday. The event starts on Tuesday. The staff were scrambling trying to find another course for us. They ended up making some temp holes and separating the long holes into 2 holes at Olpe. They completed these changes Monday afternoon (props to the staff) but gave us less than 12 hours to practice a course before a World Championship!. However I ask you this, If this had happened to the pro field, would they have been so patient? They announced through email around 1 PM Monday that these changes were in effect and we had only a few hours to practice there (with other divisions that had to play there too). There was a spot they were filling in with rock for a path and when I got there I had to ride in the bucket of the truck to get to the next hole. Now I am a father of 4, full time worker who took a weeks vacation, got a hotel room, etc, and I took it with stride. Also since this is a true am event there's no vouchers or "payouts" so the player pack is all we get. we got 2 discs, a shirt, some beef jerky and another snack, a wood mini and another plastic mini. Nothing special especially for a World Championship. They need to make a unique and special piece for us to have from this event. Instead they gave us crap from a shelf in the DD store with a new stamp. My final thought is for the host (DD). There was absolutely nothing to do the entire week after your rounds. Everyone was asking each other what they were doing later and all the players said "just hanging out at the hotel." There wasn't a World Championship vibe at all. It was in the upper *90's all week with heavy winds so outdoor stuff was a no go. We (ams) just felt left out again. You can only walk around Walmart so many times before that becomes boring too haha.

Obviously the pdga does what they want like a government figure but technically the course shouldn't have been used as per major rules course are supposed to be open a full 72 hours before tournament for practice. As for the payout we played ddo 2 years ago and was surprised that as an a tier, how there could be no payout and felt ripped off.

I wish Uli asked more questions about putting to Ohn. With both of them being so great at putting it would have been cool to have them compare notes and strategies. When compared to the rest of the FPO field Ohn's putt is so much better but she also is fearless and runs so many longer circle 2 putts which gives her a chance to get some strokes on the field. I liked when Uli said something like "If you aren't an Ohn Scoggins fan what are you even doing?" She is so easy to root for and so good for the sport. FPO is honestly as fun to watch as MPO in my opinion.

Brody brought up a great point. Very people know what disc golf is and it made me think, "why don't manufacturers advertise more outside of the disc golf community?". Based on talking to others my age (late 30's) who have picked up the sport, they should focus on people who used to golf, but it's too expensive and takes too much time for a round. Bring up that a round usually takes less than 2 hours, the low start-up cost (until you get addicted to buying plastic 😅), and the enjoyment of striving for that "perfect shot".

If the DGN is covering the event, a player can turn themselves in for playing the hole wrong, take the penalty, and then give an interview in the pregame show with Brian and Nate. You're whining about a +15 instead of a +3. Disc golf is not an endurance sport...at all. You have 65 year olds running marathons so you soft disc golfers need to suck it up. @benjaminaridiscgolf1874 yes I did. Don't rely on anyone on a hot day. Bring your own water and be an adult.

personally im sick of seeing the country club so many times throughout the season year after year. I've played that course since the first GBO it was introduced and by now its both boring to play and watch over and over.

KJ isn't serious about disc golf. To busy Djing horrible top 40 edm and bass music. To be in the mix these days you have to dedicate everything to the sport. I see him quitting disc golf all together soon.

KJ hasnt been the same since that disaster hole on Glendoveer. That really sucks. DG is better when KJ is playing well.

This issue with the FPO payout is it’s hurting the MPO players who are on the bottom tier of the cash line and eventually those players are going to leave full time tour and focus more locally.. Which will only hurt the tour ,

Brodie v. PDGA is annoying. This vendetta has been played out.

Until things improve it is not played out. Seems you have a Brodie vendetta.

@@MrDong101 disagree, love Brodie! Watch the podcast every week and support him and foundation. I just think that he rips on the PDGA in almost every episode. There is a reason Uli doesn’t share his same disdain for the PDGA, ever since the driving range incident/“kind of a jerk move” comment Brodie has been only against them, and looks for almost any possible way to take a swing at them. Sure they don’t do everything great but the game has changed significantly in the last few years. There won’t be much change until this generation of player gets elected. There are a ton of “old heads” who believe discgolf shouldn’t change in almost every aspect of discgolf. From the pdga to the Pro Tour to local leagues. Discgolf needs action more so than complaints. Not a hater just seen a lot of the content.
