Notice how he didn't mention defense, which Jordan was leaps and bounds better than both Magic and Bird were. Also, Jordan was a SHOOTING GUARD, in which SCORING is the most important part of the position. I would have like to see Magic and Bird on those 85-89 Bulls teams and see how many championships they win.

I'm not a huge ball fan at all but his pg stats were wild as well
@HZB_332 күн бұрын
@@hw6271 He forgot to mention MJ was 6'6 and the other two are 6'9. They also played diff positions, one had more chances to grab boards and the other was the PG who is suppose to have the most assists of the 3 and Larry is suppose to have the more rebounds as he was SF/PF!
@Dr.J422 күн бұрын
Bird is super underrated defensively. Jordan was better sure, but Bird in his prime was a very crafty defender
@deancafe47392 күн бұрын
The point is, magic and larry made those around them better, both did'nt care about anything except winning, that's why both of them were instsnt winners from highschool all the way to the nba, both were complete players the moment they entered the nba.While jordan was just a freakishly athletic dumb ballhog when he got to the nba.
@chitownmo2 күн бұрын
@@deancafe4739 The making players better is an unproven cliche. No one's else's talent actually improved. Gilbert Arenas and his co-host talked about this on their podcast. All they did was draw attention and made the right play to open players. They were not "complete." Magic was never a solid shooter outside of 8 feet. Bird was not a great ball handler even by old school standards. Both were great passers, yes. And they were fortunate to be drafted to the teams they played on which had great players or brought in directly after their arrival. Neither were great defenders. Jordan was far more than a "ball hog." That is the typical anti-Jordan rhetoric. Great player on both ends of the floor. Wasn't a Hold your hand, kiss your ass type player. Ball or Fall. Considering his "ball hog" reputation, his assist numbers are solid especially for a Shooting Guard.

Same Larry Bird compared MJ to God when he scored 60 + points against the peak Celtics in 1986. These 3 players are all great IMO and would be in most people’s Top 5.

When Jordan focused on it while he was playing point guard he was the most prolific triple double getter in that season. Not to mention when he played against magic in the finals he basically outplayed magic at his own game averaging a half of assist less than magic for the series.

I'll never care about rebounds and passing over scoring. And don't say "only 28": Mike still made it to #20 all time in trip doubs (you said Bird is #10), which is no insult at all since you guys accused him of not trying lol. In either case: MJ's scoring by far outwieghs and makes up for boards and assists by Bird and Magic. And don't talk steals; MJ is top 4 all time in it🤦🏿♂️...lead the league in it 3x.

Magic and Bird played with Hall of Fame centers and scorers. McHale, Archibald, Maxwell, Kareem, Worthy, McAdoo, Scott. That's a lot free rebounds and assists.

I love how ole boy says they can score 17 points and win. Well Mike did have other scorers on his team like bird and magic had. That take a shit load of pressure off you. That why Bird can score 8 points in the finals twice in the same series and still.win. fact is neither magic nor bird could win with the help Jordan had they might be ring less. Mike has to score on every bulls team he won a championship on. Jordan was a way more diverse passer than both bird and magic. Jordan was an innovator with his interior passing. BTW he never mentioned how Jordan was superior to both on defense which Jordan always had play.

They failed to say that Jordan was a better Defensive Player than both Larry and Magic and that Larry and Magic didn't have to score because they had players Like Mchale, Dennis Johnson who won a title with Seattle and was the Finals MVP before he came to Boston, they had Bill Walton who had won a title with Portland and was the Finals MVP. Magic had Kareem, Worthy, Cooper. Magic didn't have to score he had Kareem in the Low Post and Worthy off the wing, with Cooper handling the defensive assignments! Biased post, everybody trying to tear Jordan down...Lmao! It's on video, he was what he was! Jordan won 6 titles out of 6 tries. Magic and the Lakers were back to back champions, Isiah Thomas and the Pistons were back to back champions, Michael Jordan and the Bulls were back to back to back champions, then back to back to back champions again. Larry Bird and the Celtics were the only group out of the 4 who's team couldn't go back to back!
