I can never get enough of stories about wrestlers on the road and what they all had to go through. They had a life thats for sure

I loved the 90’s style- Jeans with a belt T shirts tucked in Black work boots Flannel Leather biker jacket Ball cap It just had a more tough, masculine look to it

Everyone keeps looking at life then with now eyes. No cell phones yet still made it places Didn’t have phone distractions. Or stupid photo time outs or typing to the world a post. We used to communicate and get places before these phones crippled so many

I don't understand why people like being able to be gotten a hold of 24/7 or wanting people to know where and what they are doing at all times.

Lapsed Kev talking about driving the 299 to the 298. This needed a La Quinta Inn reference.

Detroit to Chicago is 298 miles...Nash hit that on the nail even been away from that course of the business for so long.

Baltimore is a wrestling city! WCW used to own the Baltimore arena then WWE only came once in a blue moon and then WCW was no more and WWE comes more often. Every since 2017 they been coming twice a year. Raw and SmackDown and some SmackDown house shows.

I can sorta relate I played ice growing up in late 80s into mid 90 n yeah I was a kid but still had to travel I grew up in NYC so a.normal drive would be buffalo NY ... Maryland was considered light drive same with Phili but I remember as we got older getting on charter buses n leaving at like 3a.m. n driving straight thru to like Quebec for a Friday night game n 2 games sat n usually 1sunday n leave from rink sometimes sat around the rink n this was back when a 8lbs green screen Gameboy that was so slow you could turn n talk in between jumps was the top of the line traveling gamer fun but we sit around cause we usually beat the best in the tournament so some would find some team talking smack that would want to challenge us to n exhibition n it would be a big deal team that we might play some where else along lines so to get free ice time for somet like that you didn't miss so what if we the players didn't want to play again ... I'm sure there was some friendly betting going on between parents as well this was 'a' level peewee n then bantam hockey it's actually exciting to watch ... This shit wasn't no tee ball loll

I had a friend who worked for Illinois Electric for years in Chicago Rather than sitting in traffic at the end of the day they would sit in a coffeeshop or just in their truck until traffic sped up then went to drop the truck off and go home Lots of overtime but less wear and tear on the equipment to it came out probably the same in the long run. He told me about having to do wiring in Mafia places with machine gun? Guards standing around while they worked. Probably BS about the guns but oh well He retired in the late 1980's.

I've always been curious about how they kept their gear clean back then. So washing them in the hotel sink or tub. I bet wrestling fans went crazy when they saw them at laundry mats then.

Back in the pager days I was a teenager, we'd call people collect from a payphone, say the payphone's phone number where you record your name & have whoever paged you call you
