I thought i'm an expert in drum stuff but i can't understand what pedals he use) He told on his site that he is using Trick, but that is not Trick. I'm a little bit confused)

Kevin, just WOW! His Permitting the Noble Dead to Descend to the Underworld drum cover is what really got me interested in extreme metal drumming. And such a great guy, did a couple of videos of him touring and what that was like, just awesome.

Stretching is a very understated area of importance.

are you using just drum skins from drum tec or is this a drum-tec constructed kit as well? if so are you using the built in internal triggers or something external pedal mounted like footblaster or ontrigger? thank you
@hvruk45414 жыл бұрын
@utewbing i've gotten the mesh head (3ply from 682 drums) and a trigger (ISM from stealth drums) but having triggering issues with playing at higher speeds (lots of missed hits beyond a certain speed). trying to figure out if it's worth trying to mess around packing foam inside the kick drums to try and mimic the drum-tec kick's construction or if i should just skip ahead to pedaltrigger style solution but that will cost me more money to do and i have other concerns about that type of trigger (double triggering if bury the beater for example, long term durability of the piezos if you're striking them directly, etc). can't find many videos of anyone using full size kick+mesh head+triggers to play this kind of double bass so hard to get a good idea how achievable quality triggering is on that type of setup. most i've are just triggering acoustic heads or using a edrum style kick pad or simply not playing this kind of double bass.
