Kevin Smith embodies a lot of the feelings of Gen Z. We see creatives everywhere through youtube and social media, and 99% of us are in the “too smart to do this job, too lazy to do that job” state. I definitely am, and Kevin Smith just inspired me to pursue creative writing with the intention of screenwriting. Hey, if people think jay and silent bob and clerks are funny then i can make something funnier too.

Kevin Smith, while on The Late Show w/ Steven Colbert, talked fast and barely took a breath while telling a story. Steve made the comment... " Last time you were here, I asked you one question, and you talked for 12 minutes without answering it." Lmao. Kevin is noticeably more reserved in this pc. With that said, this is a trait my wife was well known for.. Incessantly chattering, almost panicked to tell whomever, whatever. She was a young knockout blonde with a body to match except, well, she never shut up. I knew of her, and her abusive boyfriend, (that I hated) so some of Jen's and my mutual friends that knew I was a top notch scrapper, asked me to kick his ass after he beat her up. Being that I couldn't protect her 24/7, I told them that IF I did, he would beat her up, as bad as I beat him up. Soo..( stay w/me, there's a point) Sooo, she and I spoke and I told her that if she dumped him, I would protect her, but I couldn't guarantee that I would beat him up, PLUS, she had to hang out with me.. ALOT! If dude cut his losses and left her alone, she wins, but I couldn't beat him up without a good reason. I was a better "hit man" than a "body guard", but needed concrete reason to deliver one of my signature ass beatings. Fair enough! The point? She and chilled together and she wasn't the "Juke-box-Jenny" around me. She was delightful, polite, intelligent etc. Her chatting ( like Kevin's ) was a nervous reaction in uncomfortable situations. This taught me two things. 1) She genuinely felt comfortable and safe around me. 2) I loved her. Yes, we later married, and had three kids. Yes, he wanted to fight me (for what I still believe) for Jen's sympathy, and yeah, I beat the brakes off that woman beater until he cried. These days, she has debilitating MS, but like everyday before this one, I still protect her, care for her every whim, and believe whole heartedly, I was put on earth to be her Guardian Angel. Its no sad ending. We are both well aware how lucky we are to find our soulmate at 18, still madly in love at 50. If someone actually reads this, sorry to run on. Im not nervous, I just really, really love this woman!

As a devout Catholic I feel that it is my duty as with Life of Brian to state that I personally am not offended whatsoever. Some people just love to miss the point of faith and of humour. If I was offended then I wouldn't watch it again but its more important for everyone else to make that choice for themselves. God is great but unfortunately Some of his so called followers do a shoddy job and give the rest of us normal descent people a miserable pious image. Humour is essential for calling certain powers to task (eg Charlie Chaplin The Great Dictator) and for individuals survival in times of personal crisis. We are all entitled to different tastes and opinions but in this age of so called understanding of mental health issues there is much more solace in humour than any supposed anti deppresent or therapy.
