I’m also a firefighter EMT have been for many years. I spend my summers out west fighting wildland fires also. Started on a hot shot crew then went to a type 2 IA hand crew and now I’m on a contract type 5 engine. I’m 63 but I can’t give up the wildland gig I love too much. I did install an ultra cool with their oil filter and it made a difference on my 2014 flhtp. Thanks for the info .

I just start watching this so dunno the finer points. I changed the headers and put a cam and tune on my 114 road glide, it runs much cooler now according to my right leg. Thanks for the channel, always a good watch.

I also have the Ultra cool love it I also run the Flo oil filter with it. My bike definitely runs cooler than it used too. Great video Kevin awesome that you took the time to answer questions.

Indestructible Harley transmission, is there a engine to match? 😂 I was down in the Nashville, TN area over the long weekend. We seen a world class Grand Ole Opry show while down there. Thought about driving thru to see your new shop, but can't find any definitive location information. 😐

Good evening sir. Thanks for another great video. I just ordered a Daytona TT ignition module. I found an old video of you stating that you could load a map in it before it got sent out. Since my 95”upgrade with 10-1 compression the bike has a kickback situation. I hit the start button once, let her kick back, then it will crank normally. I haven’t received said unit. Hopefully I can retard it enough without loading a map. Questions comments or concerns?

I fired up my 2019 after being in storage, battery was on a maintainer. It ran for a few min, then there was a miner poof out of the air filter and the bike shut down and wouldn't start again. I pulled codes and had an error of high voltage to ecm or bcm. It threw a code b2272 I cleared the codes, turnd the bike off, let it sit for 5 min, wont restart. Help!!!!!

Just take it as a rule of thumb... A race and bearing are matched, or 'married,' at the time of manufacture. If you mismatch them, you are committing bearing "adultery!" Why do that on the inside of the engine or transmission, where it's the most critical? It's your money, but why throw it away for the cost of a bearing race? I went through hell on another matter... My transmission kept pushing tranny oil up the clutch cable! The subject of "Blowby," came up then, thinking the engine was pressurizing the primary case through the primary crankshaft bearing. And that it may be pressurizing the transmission via the clutch basket inside the primary housing... "Nope." I replaced the clutch cable, and the oil in the transmission had been replaced about 3 time in a month. Then the oil was coming all the way up the clutch cable to the clutch handle! Like most of you, I was beside myself with stressing over my first HD. I took this bike to a couple of people, including the dealer that sold it to me. Finally, I learned that the tranny had a vent tube on top, and I asked the dealership mechanic, if he would, please see if the tube was clear. He told me that he gave the little rubber vent tube a pinch with his pliers, and a "mud dauber nest," fell out of the tube! After a few hundreds of dollars, a day spent riding to another state for a new clutch cable, and many hours of stress, my transmission issue was boiled down to an insect making its nest in a little rubber tube. It did teach me two things... "Never just assume what a problem is, in an effort to cut corners." And secondly, "Remember, things like bugs, don't see your bike, or any machine in the same light you do." A little cheap rubber tube, hidden under the oil tank on my Heritage Softail, atop the transmission housing, was the issue. I would have saved myself a few hundred dollars in parts and transmission oil, had I known to just check that tube!
