living 30mins from town a good tip to keep food hot is to heat up plates in the oven so they are hot when the food arrives, then put the warm food on the hot plates to keep it hot as you eat it

Before my sons haircut I always send a group text to the entire neighborhood "haircut day, don't panic or call police". After the initial meltdown of having to get a haicut has passed I can keep him focused on his favorite topics for apx 4 mins.

My son has just gone for his hair cut, he has so many things we have to do. Luckily my hairdresser works from her home so it's nice and calm but he has to go by car, only one person came take him, that person can't talk while he's having his hair done and has to be sat in the lounge area so he can't see them either. He normally copes with about 15 minutes before he's done. This has taken him going monthly since he was born then alot of trial and error to actually getting his hair cut but it seems to work.

Andy isn't the only One! I *Despise* Haircuts as well! I *hate* People touching My Head! Total. Sensory. Yuck! . So I only have My Hair Done once a Year, in March , whether it needs doing or not. I would say that is a Snow/Sleet Mix! Well, Dave the Daft Dog is in for a good Time at least. I am with Andy on that One! I *hate* being Cold and Wet! It is best to just watch Snow through the Window! Foul February means a Scorching Summer normally, so Fingers Crossed! Ahh, now there is one of the Sweet Sides of Autism, Andy sitting On Mummy's Lap telling Her about His Day like a much Younger Child. Those are very precious and special Moments indeed, and it is lovely that Anna still gets to have them. Super Cool that the Animal Man came to Visit, I am glad that Andy loved all the Animals and it is Great that He had a Blast at School on Monday and a much better week all in all :) On the Dog Situation: maybe Dave is too Boisterous and Unpredictable for Andy? being more than a bit Bonkers, Dave does tend to run around and leap up a lot and that might possibly make Andy a bit Nervous of Him, the Dogs the Animal Man tends to Bring are a lot Quieter and more Placid (Usually Goldie's as they are very Laid back) , so Maybe Andy wasn't as Nervous as He is with Dave as the Visiting Dog was less likely to do something unexpected? Good luck with the Doctors Visit, and I hope Andy had a Brilliant Time in London! :) Two Good Days in a Row :) , I am glad the Teacher who takes Andy to Food Bank was Better this Week so He could Go :) Indeed, now I Get the Appeal of the Food Bank for Andy, His Love of Churches, Combined with His Love of Sorting, its a Double Whammy of things He Loves! :) I guess it is like the Brighton Speed Trials for Me (the *One* Time I actually cope with a Crowd because I don't even notice the Crowd!, I cannot hear them due to the Motorsport Grade Ear Defenders, and the Smell of Castrol R and Frazzled Rubber blocks the Smell of the Crowd out completely!) , a Double Whammy of Cars and the Seaside, My two Main Loves, in the Same way Churches and Sorting appear to be Andy's Major Loves :) Double Whammy's like that are always Extremely Enjoyable :) I am glad Andy is back to Normal, as I love to see Him in Good Mood like that :) Check in Andy's Room, the Cool Bag might be in there, those of us with Autism tend to be "Magpies", so it could be in there. Maybe it happens off camera, but does Anna oil the blades whilst cutting andy’s hair? While I understand speed is essential in the process for Andy, who would want to escape at any opportunity and as quick as possible, the regular lubrication of the blades should make the experience for Andy better as it would provide a smoother/quicker cut.

My son hates haircuts, so when I do cut it I have to do it as short as I can so it looks neat and tidy. I can't take him to a barber cause he would just have a meltdown, and I would rather him meltdown at home and hit out at us than strangers he doesn't know.
