hey Kevin been a fan of yours since the 2000’s. Glad you’re digging more black metal nowadays! I play in a band called Paroxysmal Butchering where on our latest album we combine brutal death metal and black metal, which is ultra taboo for a lot of people haha. It’s a lot of fun

I remeber stumbling across your channel maybe 7 years ago. Forgot you existed and now here you are popping up on my recommendations still making content but much better quality and more interactive. Nice to see you still training too. Keep it up dude
@KevinFrasard5 жыл бұрын
Thanks man, yeah around that time I had deleted my channel for about a year...long story short, some dipshit was catfishing some chick with my stolen pictures and it just put me in a bitter mood towards the internet. Then after a while I was like whatever who cares, weirdos are going to be weirdos and I can't control that. So I came back slowly, and now I'm doing more with the channel. I hope to keep improving on all of my videos in every area, everything needs work but it'll get there. Training will never stop, but it has finally taken a little bit of a back seat since I got my pro card two years ago. I keep my eating strict year round, the lean look adds to the effect the videos👍. Plus, I topped out 10 years ago as to what I can achieve as far as size goes so the constant heavy training and trying to eat more is just beating a dead horse. Keeping it lean 'n mean these days homie! Thanks again for commenting, hopefully you get something out of these videos bro!

Kevin, you're a much better player than me, but holy shit, this is exactly what I do with my brother. He lives in Cali, I'm in Texas, and I make recordings with my phone of new riffs or stuff I'm learning, and send them to him. It helps me remember stuff I've come up with, and share it with him. Awesome to see you using a similar technique for your playing. Love it man, keep up the awesome content!

Hello hello, got a question for you man, hopin you or someone around with knowledge would answer Where and when did you start learning all the technical skills, and terminology for the metal theorycrafting? I feel like picking up a guitar and just strummin the chords can only get you so far, to me, thats just telling me the "what", know what I mean? I'd like to hear the deeper meaning, and the "why" to eventually have a stronger grasp of that what, like using other music lessons made for other instruments and put them into metal riffs thanks for the wisdom too, and the upload

3:10 Interesting idea doing tapping on the low string. 9/10 times I hear tapping it's on the higher strings. One thing that hinders me in songwriting is I keep thinking "That riff/part sounds too much like (band name)." But even if it's a copy of a riff/part you gotta think of it in the context you're putting it in.

I've always had a liking for Necrophobic, even when I didn't like black metal. The Nocturnal Silence is a great album by them, and other releases have been pretty killer. Dark Funeral is just nuts, their drummer is stupid good!!!
@fuckthatshit13675 жыл бұрын
@@KevinFrasard Necrophobic has a nice density of cool riffs/melodies. I like them. You should check out the ep "particular hatred" by a band called Iperyt. They are some kind of industrial black metal. The programmed drums remind me a bit of the over the top midi drum tracks from some of your songs. Insanely fast,cold and clinical precision. The vocalist has an awesome voice. A very natural aggression and hatred. He also does in vocals in Infernal War. Pure madness too but with real drums. Redesekration: The Gospel of Hatred and Apotheosis of Genocide is a killer album.
