1654 Sportsman T Grizzly Tracker Jon Boat - 2 year review

I've had my boat about 2 years and I thought I'd give a LONG review of the boat, motor and all the accessories I've added in that time.
I like to show off my boat. Pretty proud of it overall.
For me, the 1654 Grizzly Tracker Jon Boat has performed very well. As with anything, there are downsides which I'm happy to share.

I was looking at the Grizzly SC, they are tanks. I ended up buying a 2024 Bass Tracker Classic XL, it was less expensive than the Grizzly and doesn't have the versa track. Like you, I bring my dog with me, she's my buddy. Where did you get the LED's for you boat? Are they just green, or multicolor? I'm interested in putting some on mine one day. I have been going back and forth between this model and a similar G3 boat i guess it will all come down to whichever one i get the better price on not trying to break the bank

Great, comprehensive video Kevin! Days ago, I ordered a 2024 Tracker 1654 T Sportsman. I'm dumbfounded that Tracker placed the rear seat exactly where the tiller needs to be operated. As such, I am very interested to see your video regarding installing the new rear seat. Also, where are you finding the various accessories for the Versa Track? Thanks!

Thank you. I made them all myself. Proprietary stuff is way too expensive and too hard to find in many cases. Just use 1/4-20 stainless carriage bolts...fit perfect.

No worries about the center seat pedestal in the rear. You'll want it there when a second person is fishing in the back. Keeps the weight in the center of the boat and keeps the boat level when fishing. For driving, just add another pedestal to the side.

I see 32-33 with two extra batteries and trolling motor upfront. Before I added the weight it’s was like 36ish. With the 40merc.

about right I guess....I'm at 31.....microjackplate did nothing...may have lost 1mph....I have 2 batteries....always had the TM....but I do have a 40 lb mat on the floor. I put the beavertail blind on and I'm at 28-29....it's a tank.

Do you get a lot of spray from transducer? I added smaller one and adjusted height couple times. Too much spray up the motor for my liking. Gonna try off the back of sponson next. Will update. Again, thanks for informative video. My motor also pulls but I think with the 40 that’s what you will get. You can rotate the trim part above the prop to about 1 (from 12) then try 2 but after that probably won’t make a difference in my opinion anyway. Just use electric trim to lift boat on plane. From my experiences anyway with boats. Again, thanks for informative video.

No spray at all. My trim tab is over as far as it would go.

I have the same problem with my boat and jack plate my motor wants to pull me to the other side I was just wondering did you ever trying switching the trim anode to the other side I was just curious I can’t adjust mine no more bc I have a hydrofoil

I think I mentioned that my trim tab was moved as far over as possible but it made no difference.

Anything can be done...and yes...I thought of turning the gun box into a livewell....biggest issue is how to route the drain or pickup line...that area, directly under it is all foam under the deck.

My 18’ fibreglass with 135 merc has always pulled a bit when the motor is trimmed down for hole shot. Once on plane if you trim it up a bit it stops pulling. Might be something to try.

@richardbray7893 used quarter 20 carriage bolts to the versatrack. Solid as a rock...and I can slide if necessary.
