Year 2045: Med school insiders is now participating in f1 after the notorious founder, Dr Kevin Jubbal, built a mysterious yet powerful engine. He managed to play into the nuances of motor sports and created the bridge between medicine and cars! Such a formidable man

new video idea: how to honor rotations (formula for how to prep for shelf + get good evals). Don't think you have done a dedicated video for this yet. Med student starting rotations in January here and would love to hear your perspective. Especially on the shelf exams. Thanks so much for the content!

PPS : people who don't want to do the public speaking "reps" on their own, Kevin Jubbal is so right about Toastmasters. Low investment, won't take much time, but do that for a few months and you will lose all nerves about public speaking. It's just repeated exposure to the situation and peer feedback. You can also join an online group if you mostly have to present in front of screens or don't have that much time. Shop around, find a group you mesh with, do that for a while.

What is with my favorite color profiles happening to turn up all over the place suddenly in med/med-student KZbinr videos 😂 Ali's teapot/mug/painting, your back wall lighting, and some other sets too ... I feel like we've all leaned toward a slightly desaturated simplified vaguely-more-masculine take on the current trend of bright mermaidyjeweltoned color schemes, subconsciously influenced by common shades of "caribbean blue" and almost-coral-but-not-quite that turn up in scrubs a lot lmao. It's just uncanny at this point

Hi, Kevin! Do you have UC or Crohn's? If so, how have you coped with having a chronic illness and being in medicine? When you mentioned Remicade, that stuck out to me a lot, as I want to go to med school, but I'm worried about my UC interfering with my ability to do well in this field.

For the OB/GYN doctors talking about how terrible men are come from personal experience I believe. Women and gay men are treated differently than straight men. They are disregard in medicine as student, professionals, and patients. As a gay man I can sympathize with the women and have seen how heterosexual men (not all, but a generous amount) have treated them in medicine.

In terms of the OBGYN folks shitting on men-- this is punching up vs. punching down. When women/non-male people complain about men, it's not really "sexism," it's our way to cope with constantly being in a world where we fear for our safety, how we're perceived, men automatically making more money than us for the same profession (yay my male counterparts making $45k more in some specialties), etc. While it isn't appropriate for work necessarily, I hope in the future you can understand why conversations like that take place and that they're not directed at you. Instead of being uncomfortable, try to empathize with why your gender is being spoken about in such a way. In my experience, the men who become uncomfortable are often the ones who don't want to hear what life is like on the other side and I know that your character is better than that. I appreciate your videos and wish you the best!

PS about the 'gains' - isn't that just genetics and / or roids? If you are not willing to do roids (good call, obvs) and you don't have a body type that goes from lean and muscular to bulking up easily, you don't get that big, do you? I think Hollywood just portrays a really unrealistic image of how big a 'fit' guy should be.

About the Ob Gyn rotation - men never realize how much of this you do to women. Dismissing, shutting down, excluding women, dismissing our intellect and our experiences, not seeing us as equals that deserve equal respect. I guarantee that esp the surgical rotations that you did did a lot of that to female residents, in ways you would not have picked up on. Men are hypersensitive about it when it ever happens to them. But I guarantee you have a blind spot about how much of this is directed towards us, both out in the world and here on social media. Tl;dr : Men, next time you talk to a woman, try and track how often your first impulse is to dismiss, negate or disagree, no matter what she says. It may surprise you.
