@@FruitchGFX It's not just user error. Notice that flap underneath your joysticks? Dust can get under it can cause stick drift extremely easily. Joycons also suffer from desync problems. If there are too many other devices around, they can interfere with the bluetooth connection. It's blasphemous that Nintendo is charging $80 for them when they're this faulty.

SpyC am super careful with mine too, have had my switch for almost a year now and i have 3 pairs of joycon, the worst case has been some slight drift on 1 of them which i simply cleaned it a tad and it hasnt drifted in months (keep in mind it was only a verrryyy slight drift, and was not even noticeable unless i wasnt touching the joystick) u prolly just got very unlucky.

@@FruitchGFX My joycon from my day one switch were working fine till they eventually started having drifting issues about 6 months later. The joycon are very flawed by design... underneath the plastic flap dirt/dust can get stuck in there and causes this drifting issue in the first place. Some folks either get it out with compressed air or replace the whole joycon analog stick. There was also connection issues.. mainly on the left joycon. I personally never had that issue.

Not really since its literally 2 controllers in 1 product, can u say that about ps4 or xbox controllers? MrDoge sigh here we go, ight m8 first things first, u cant compare the price of a controler for a full console to the price of a HANDHELD ONLY CONSOLE, which has been on the market for a long af time, thats ur first flaw, ur second flaw is that no the joycon are NOT half a controller, when u flip a single joycon horizontally u have all the functions of a full controller minus 1 joystick and dpad, and u can play pretty much any and all games with a single joycon layout, so no they arent half a controller each one is an individual controller, granted together they work as a better controller, but thats the point of the joycon and the switch in general, the versatility and portability, like srsly dont comment things without informing urself first, have a good one.

To save your time, this video said that these joycons don't drift, a lot cheaper, has every single thing of the joycons feature except amiibo support. The Bluetooth is just 1 frame slower but does the job really well regardless.

The purpose of the bitter taste of a Switch cartridge is to prevent kids from swallowing it since they are tiny and easy to swallow. The PS Vita cartridges are about the same size as the Switch cartridge, has no taste and can easily be swallowed by kids if you’re foolish enough to leave them out for young kids to play with them.

There's a reason why Nintendo only gives you one joycon with at me will support, also there's another reason why most cases include support for two sets of joycons. 4 multiplayer you can bringing up controllers for 4 players but you still only need one amiibo controller. Unless you're buying the Nintendo switch used with third-party controllers only, you're not going to know there's a thing and even if you did what percentage of people use amiibos? I would guess listen 15% and that includes people with friends / family who have less than five.

You can set the joycons color in the switch OS just by putting a small data folder on the firmware. It supports any color. If you have custom colored joycons there are tutorials how to set the colors on the screen to match the ones you chose irl.

I really want to see a 3rd party left joycon that has a dpad similar to what's on sonys dualshock. This way you still have 4 seperated buttons for local multi-player but it still acts as a dpad for handheld/dual joycons.

Finally got mine, the buttons are bit mushy for my liking. The worst part is the battery drain on the console. With them attached and console in sleep mode you hear a controller connected sound every 5-10min. Not sure why, but that results in about 10% battery drain per hour while not being used. Kills an otherwise decent replacement.

These things are great! With the shape of the controller when used with the single joycon mode for games like Smash Ultimate and Super Mario Party, they are better than the normal joycons! I would suggest buying these, especially at only $35 for two! It's amazing!

I just got these *Curved Joycons* today! First of all they have rumble, the rumble in the Joycons work but with HD Rumble mini games like Mario Party don’t work well but something like Mario Kart works great! The motion controls actually surprised me they have really good motion controls, also yes they do charge on the switch, the Joycon strap grip does fit on these *Curved Joycons* but doesn’t lock also the controller grip isn’t compatible, I would say these are a really good third party option for a second pair of Joycons for more players. The strange icons are because it reports the body color as black and the button color as white. You can do that on official controllers too, if you change the body color with Joycon Toolkit.

i wouldn't call them fake. they aren't the original joy cons of course, but some "fake" joy cons really do bring some special extras with them, like the curved joy cons, the Under Control GameCube Joy cons (60$) and (not sure if these are third party or collab or something else) the daemon X machina joy cons (50$). They all have special things that are very useful for some games. And they all cost less than real joy cons

I know this is an old video but I saw some comments about people asking if they charge from the switch itself. I have these. They're really nice to use when I get tried of my Joycon drifting. Only issue I have is that it's draining the switch even when it's battery is lower than the Joycons. Also, it has rumble but I find it more annoying so I always turn that option off.

Honestly, I just want Joycons or a pro-controller with analog triggers. Keeping the gyro is a must, HD Rumble is a plus, and Amiibo and the IR Camera are not needed. There are a couple games that do use analog triggers on the Switch, but so far only GC controllers and maybe wired Xbox One controllers work with it

I picked these up on eBay for £28, they are superb for third party. Had to pick them up once I got drift on my left joy con, I didn't want to get the standard ones which are to expensive and would drift again. They are shaped so much better than the standard joy cons that playing in hand held mode is not awkward anymore, and they are considerably lighter as well. They also don't wobble a lot in handheld mode, they are quite firm. Definitely a good replacement for standard joy cons if you don't mind that the NFC reader, IR sensor or HD Rumble are missing.
